Genres on Goodreads are not assigned by librarians; they are based on the shelves on which users have placed each book.

Paula Masters | 6 comments How will a reader know initially when a book is added to Goodreads what Genre it is ( before user shelving)? And can genres change after shelving indicates more of a specific genre?

This is not a Librarians Group issue, but one for the Author Feedback Group. Or you may wish to use the Contact Us link on the Help page. Librarians can help with issues pertaining to specific book records or most related issues, but have no control over general site functionality or author issues outside of fixing book or author listings on Goodreads itself.
