I needed a challenge like this! perfect!! Now eager for the planning thread to organize what series' I will focus on. :)
Ya'll I just went through my goodreads (both of them) and updated my series to read.. it will take me YEARS lol
Ashley wrote: "Ya'll I just went through my goodreads (both of them) and updated my series to read.. it will take me YEARS lol"Haha, yes same here, but at least this helps me to push through some :)
a lot of mine are re-reads because it's been FOREVER since I even looked at the series - but hey, I have a TBR for ages lol - and you're right! It's definitely made me push through and even make the list
Can I count Star Wars books as a generic series? Some are more standalones while others are broken down to specific series but looking at generally reading books off this list: https://www.goodreads.com/list/show/1...

let me ask the other mods about that so I can give you the correct answer.

Okay so since these are on a list in listopia, it wouldn't count as a series BUT it would count if you could find it as a series on the author's site.
It is tricky because Star Wars is in general considered a series (either legends [Pre Disney] or Disney Canon) but when you have 50+ (or there about) authors that contribute gets to be a jumbled mess that no single author can often take credit for. But characters/places, etc do overlap even by the different authors. I figured there is no official # order on most (so lots of vol 1/novella). I also found this off a paragraphs series link on on of them (not directly of listopia) https://www.goodreads.com/series/8992... as well if that changes it. Otherwise major drat since I have been really wanting to get back into the books. Thanks for checking though Alaina!
Riddhi wrote: "What about novellas in any series?Do they count?"
Novellas count towards page points.
Novellas count towards page points.

Our second quarterly challenge is a series reading challenge. All you have to do is read books that are part of a series! Easy, right? Comment to sign-up and with any questions about the challenge.
Rules
*Books must be read and reviewed from April 1st to June 30th.
*Books must be 100 pages to count (using the most rated edition on goodreads)
**Books read that are under 100 pages will count toward page counts
**Books that are DNFed can count toward pages. A review and/or status updates is still required
*Manga and graphic novels can be read and will count for ¼ of the listed page count--they will count toward pages only
*Five detailed status updates can be used in place of a review
*Buddy reads must take place within this group to count for bonus points
*You must make a minimum of five comments on a buddy read to earn points
Points
*Points for a book will be awarded based on the number the book is in the series. So book #3 in a series will earn three points.
*Max number of points for a book in a series is 7. So book #8 in a series would earn 7 points.
*Five points for every 1000 pages read.
*Manga/graphic novels count for ¼ of the listed page count.
*Five points for reading the group book of the month (each month the challenge runs) in addition to series points, if it is in a series.
*Buddy reads will double your points for that book. So a buddy read of The Deathly Hallows (Harry Potter #7), for example, will earn you 14 points.
