Funny, it didn't occur to me he was doing anything particularly unreasonable. I've dated several people in my life where the relationship didn't seem to demand checking in with each other. You know, like, "Great guy, but I'm not gonna marry him or anything." Either we both agreed we had something really special or we didn't have anything really special. But maybe that's just me.
Im with Bunwat on this. 2 weeks away, and not one check in? Not one phone call from a land line telling his chickie that he just saw the most amazing thing? Or wish you were here with me? Europe has those cafe-internet spots doesnt it? where you can pay to send emails and communicate?

And, of course, I have to admit here, I would totally have been that girl. The one who attacks after a few days of silence, of unanswered attempts to get ahold of them....
Then again, MY MAN would not EVER leave his cell phone off, and I would listen to him and know he was leaving for a different country. Hell, I would have been there WITH him... so I guess everything I just said before is null and void :)
