Tempests and Slaughter
question
How far do you think it will go? *Possible Spoilers*

I have been a long time fan of the Tortall books esp The Immortals quartet. Having just read Tempests and Slaughter I have begun to wonder where this series might end. Do you think it will end when Arram makes it to Tortall? when he meets the royal family and gets settled? When he meets Alanna? I don't know about you, and I know this is pobably not going to happen, but I'd love him to meet Daine before the end of the series. I'd love to see everything from his point of view.

I'd love to see it go to at least the end of the immortals war. I think it'd be really interesting to see things from Numair's point of view esp when he goes back to Carthak and sees Ozorne again . It would be great if we could see the other side of things during Kel's books as well but I have my suspicions that it won't go on too long. I don't think the author will write things that have already been covered even if it is by a different character unfortunately.
Maybe to Tortall, but I don't think much later than that. I'd like to see it go at least to the Immortal War, but I wouldn't be surprised if it ended right after Arram and Ozorne's "disagreement".
I'd love to see it go up until he meets Diane. I re-read the books and was surprised at how early he meets her.
So I reread the Immortals immediately after reading this because it had been such a long time and I couldn't place all the characters well enough. (a side note is that I am kind of glad to get a more in-depth look a Varice, who Daine doesn't really give much sympathy for obvious reasons).
In my ideal world, this would go up to and including the phase where Numair juggles his way through Tortall because he's too scared to use magic until he happens to meet Alanna or Jon because that sounds pretty interesting to me. And then with an epilogue set in post-Immortals timeline or something.

I read this a looooooong time ago, so I have no way to verify, but at some point, Pierce stated the Numair series would end at the PRECISE moment when Numair meets Daine...and we all remember that moment :)
Is anyone else bothered that the slave/ gladiator who saves Arram turns out to be Sarge in the Immortals books? I feel like Pierce did some history adjustment. If the gladiator was an adult when Arram was a kid, and Numair is 11ish years older than Diane- Sarge would have been close to 60 when Diane meets him. Then, he’s The Godfather of her baby, later? The timeline doesn’t add up.
