Here is a list of all our runner ups. I thought of just leaving this one as a general topic so that if anyone wants to read any of the books listed here, we can leave it as a “I read this one because..” and a “I enjoyed/did not enjoy this book because...”. Either that, or we can do a secondary poll of the runner-ups and turn this into a general discussion about one book. I’m open to comments and suggestions!
August - The Bell Jar, by Sylvia Plath September - The Woman in Cabin 10, by Ruth Ware October - The Woman in Cabin 10, by Ruth Ware (Twice in a row!) November - Girls Made of Snow and Glass, by Melissa Bashardoust December - The Winter Ghosts, by Kate Moses January - Break Month February - In The Midst of Winter, by Isabel Allende
I did not include March because there was a 4 way tie for second. Also, I wanted to mention that March is Women’s History Month and today is International Women’s Day. Fitting, all of our runner up books are female authors. I’m happy we have chosen and considered so many books by female authors.
