Uh in the first book a werewolf or wolf shifter, can't remember what they call them in this series, asks her out. I know that either at the end of the first book or beginning of the 2nd book the wolf takes her to meet his pack and his father who is the Alpha and they tell her all about how as a wolf's mate she's expected to quit her job and be stay at home wife/mother. They had even picked out a spot to build them a house. She quickly ends that relationship. Eventually she starts dating the tiger shifter mechanic. Also the fae elder she helps later is always after her but I don't remember anything romantic on her part.

Is it the Discord Jones series by Gayla Drummond? It sounds like it with the realms and other bits you described like being turned into a dog is book 2.

It's about a Paranormal PI, she works for a company investigating supernatural problems. I know in the first book she's investigating vampires in a city they have under ground. In a later book she meets a white tiger shifter who is a mechanic and his cousin in the clan queen she eventually makes the main character a honorary queen. In another book she is turned into a dog, a border collie, by a witch while she's investigating dog nappings, while she's a dog she finds out they are stealing the dogs for a dog fighting ring run by werewolves and Dark Elves. She helps a pack of pit bulls think some of their names are Bones and Devil and she helps rescue a bunch of chihuahuas they are using as bait dogs. Main chars mom is a flighty hollistic type person but a normal human. She takes in a young witch she finds whose dog, a husky, was one of the ones stolen by dog nappers. Umm in another book she meets a Fae who is an elder or something and he asks for her help and offers her one of his hounds to help, she ends up keeping it. The different supernaturals have pocket realms they controll for each that they live in.
If anyone can figure out what book series this is I would REALLY appreciate it, and no its not Anita Blake of that I'm sure. Its driving me a little crazy lol.
