Review: I enjoyed reading this book, even though I knew who the killer was from the start. Audrey Rose is an enjoyable character and I will look forward to reading more about her.

Review: A great start to the series. Gabrielle has seem to walk right into a situation that seems unreal but when the police don't see any evidence of the crime she becomes angry until Lucas. He sees something in Gabrielle that others don't see and then that's when her world is turned upside down. I look forward to seeing how things progress in the books.

Review: And I decided to read this book again, but went for the audio version this time, which is a change for me. The previous million times I've read this book have been physical, and although I still prefer the physical, the audio was good. It just felt a little rushed that's all. So much went on within the 300 pages.
I really love the fantastical element of manifestations of the dark in an actual place. The historical element really added to the gothic feel of the story. I love the gloominess and the solemnity this story holds for us. My friend introduced me to this story, and I really thank her for it. I've read the first few books of this series many times over.
I love his relationship with the Spook, as well as the budding relationship with Alice, and how it's unsure what kind of part she will play (although I know). The honesty is very inspiring, and the respect he has towards his family and the Spook is very admirable.
And although Tom has a few naive moments throughout the novel, he definitely learns from his mistakes.

"Go brush your teeth, comb your hair, put on dry clothes, and get the guns. We're going to Wal-Mart.”
This was not my favorite Ilona Andrews book. I did love the world and the humor. The romance was just standard he likes me, he hates me or not he loves me. I still like the Innkeeper series best, hope they come out with another of those.

Oh my gooosh thank you so much! I was also participating in the Pass the Parcel challenge, when books are locked a week after the call. Thank you! I'll update for Part of a Series now then XD

Review: I really cannot believe how long this one took me. When I received it in my YA Chronicles box I was still halfway through Acowar, and even that one took me such a long time to finish. So I started this one on Sunday and only just read the last 160 pages tonight. So glad I did though. It definitely wasn't as heavy as the other books in the series, but did enlighten me to some of the character relationships. I loved the different POVs. They didn't feel random either, like they were all in there at that spot for a reason. We even got a Nesta POV which surprised me with the amount I hated it. I just hate her so much and I always will. That will never change.
I'm very surprised as to the lack of bonds between the sisters in this one and in acowar. Everyone made it seem so much more final than it was. Nothing's even really been decided yet, and it makes me very excited. I hate how people made it seem like everyone's 'fated' to be together, when nothing like that's happened at all. I can't wait to see how all of the relationships will turn out.
This book just really made me envy Rhys and Feyre even more. And I just love Cassian so much when he said 'I don't like feeling this, but I envy you, Rhys. Everyone dreams of having a bond like you and Feyre, and not many do.' It just made me feel a lot better XD But it's true, everyone does want a bond like that. That is perfection right there. It would sustain me through anything, just having a guy like Rhys at my side. He is incredible. I want him.
I think I'm coming around to Feyre in this one. Previously, I just found her pretty meh, but she had some redeeming qualities this book.
I'm also drawn to Elain's reserved manner, and Az's cautious way around her.
I was rather confused during Cass's outburst with Nessa after the dinner, as he just went through so many emotions at once I wasn't sure what to feel XD I had to go back and read it again. I just hate her so much.
The gift-giving had me cracking up :p It was gold. But I looooove love love Feyre's gift to Rhys. I already had a feeling I knew what it would be, and his reaction was priceless. Gorgeous. These two are complete goals.
Anyway, that's long enough for such a short book :p Think I got my thoughts out.
Sorry I wasn't able to answer you sooner Maddison. RL is being a real pain but yes you can switch your book. You've done it on previous shelves, remember? Ok I'll get stuff updated Maddison I'm participating in PtP too and you can switch your book there too. You'll just need to make another posting.

Review: I really liked the sibling dynamic, it seemed very similar to the Baudelaires, especially with the middle sibling Michael loving books and facts like Klaus. I love the narrator's Irish accent for the dwarves :p But I really hate his accent for the other voices. He narrated the Harry Potter books that I listened to as well, and it really lowered my enjoyment of them. So whiny and annoying.I started to lose focus during this one, so don't properly understand what's happening anymore, but I think everything's wrapping up again now and they're understanding more about the whole time-travel business. I'd be so confused if I was the old man and people are trying to talk to me about the future XD

I swear you couldn't if it had been longer than a week since the shelf call for this challenge XD Who knows. Not me. I'm just glad I was able to. Thanks!
For the Spin Off shelf I will be reading The Return by Jennifer L. Armentrout. I have this as an e-book, but I'm thinking I will probably listen to the audiobook.

Review:
I listened to the audiobook because I wanted to get through this book faster. I loved JLA's Covenant series which is the original series. I was not disappointed with this book. Seth was a favorite character from that series, and I am so excited to see how everything changes for him after the end of the last series. I don't want to give anything away. But this series, from this book, is just as good as the first series. This one is definitely New Adult whereas the other was more YA.

Review: Warning negative review - if you liked this book don't read!
I picked this book because it was short and I thought I could finish it quickly. I unfortunately did not read the introduction so I did not know what I was in for. I almost DNF this book, but I didn't have time to choose another. All I can say is WTF!!!! I cannot believe a woman wrote this book. It contains rape and violence against women. I believe there is sex on almost every page of this book. I am not against sex in books, but I like it to be mutual. As a woman of the 60's and 70's we worked hard for our equality Books like this put us back into the dark ages. I don't recommend this book.

Review : Though I enjoyed this book. It reminded me a little of Flavia de Luce series by Alan Bradley. A young lady interested in science learning her trade by her uncle which of course her father doesn't approve. So much twist and turns and all the crafty people makes Audrey question her thoughts but throughout her stalking of Jack the Ripper for answers to who he really is. She never thought that the person was someone she (view spoiler)
