Actions speak in a way words don't. You go back and fix ur nasty little review and give this book the rating it deserves. I want you to personally message every other little demon that liked your hate speech and implore them to unlike it and make sure to tell them exactly why you were wrong about it too. Then and only then are you allowed to be a part of this group of love and tolerance. Otherwise no one wants to hear it and you can take it somewhere else Miss/Mr. Fresiako.

Anyhow...just wondering. What would have to happen between M&B to make their story/relationship interesting again. Since they're coming back. Can anything save those two after how they've been bastardized in the last three Mac books?

@DenisaYou're so right how DARE I humble peasant fresiako give a book about fictional sex faeries 3 stars? The character development was so beyond the scope of my primitive brain capacity that I literally wasn't fit to be a proper judge of it! Only accomplished wannabe writers like Jen are able to judge something so grandiose and complex! The character growth in this book was a mother. fucking. gift. to me and I didn't deserve it! I was unworthy! Sorry, Miley Cyrus fanboi Ryodan I just am too much of a brain dead peasant to understand you're literary growth!
So, which one of you girls is going to write the Dani and Ryodan fanfic so we can get the story we should have had.

I can't understand how anyone say that Mac has more story, so she is the main character. If KMM choose to write Dani, Dani would have more story to tell too. She is a writer, she can give her characters more background and more archs. But she only wants to write about Mac, that's why Mac has things going on.

KMM can't write the real relationship part good tbh. She is better at writing the tension before the relationship. She just creates fake dramas and it's really annoying. So part of me hopes that she never write Dani-Ryo so she can't mess it up more like she did with Mac-Barrons.

Lolol!I think my favourite comment from her was where she accused one disappointed reader of reading the books only for SMUT... I wish there had been some of that because I can't even remember the sex scenes anymore. They were literally so boring they left no mark. I get that this was supposed to be about LOVE, but that should only have made it ten times hotter! Now they were just two special snowflakes coming together.

lmaooo Anomis!!! honestly I was so disappointed with the sex scenes. I thought as I read it, yes! finally it's the time. Surely this is where K Mo won't let me down! this is her bread and butter- carnal sexuality! I was so ready for it.And then I started reading it..
Ryodan thinks Dani is like some mirage.. and he's been chilling in his depression den for like weeks. Dani makes a comment that he smells like he hasn't showered in awhile and it just turned me all the way off lmao. Like maybe the nine are immune to body odor I don't know but all I could think of was the funk that had to be emanating from his nether regions! Maybe if he like rinsed off before dipping in Dani's lady pond like they do at public pools I could've been down. Yes it's small but it took me out of the story. Not to mention all the cut to black scenes. What a tease! lmao. Like no I wasn't expecting smut (I wouldn't not take it either tho hohoho) I don't even read smut but like I was hoping for more than what we got lmao

Hahhahah shookitha such an accurate AND creepy gif lmao!I remember thinking before reading HV that since this is going to be a romance novel, it must be good since kmo specialized in romance novels initially (its how she got into the business anyway).
And plus she also was posting that this book is turning much more sexy and steamy than she even expected.
Smut is smut and no need for peeps to pretend they didnt get into kmo coz of it (at least jn the beginning) lol!
So it was so puzzling to see her failing in the sex scenes too.
But for sure it was the rushing of the plot.. i dont get why not just write a longer book and make sure there is build up to the scenes or just write a shorter book where at least we dont waste time reading almost 2/3s of just internal gloomy monologue. By the time the hook up came i was already so annoyed by how ordinary and kind of dull Dani was coming across, that when they went for it - i mainly wanted to pull them aside, spank them and send them back in begining of the story for a re-do.
@Anomis, sooooo true, every word. KMM has been pretty dismissive about the romance genre in the past couple of years which is funny considering her past books. And now that a gripping romance was truly needed, it came out flat.Also, I just realised that the scene where Dani returns and finds Ryo hallucinating in his den... that's been done before in the romance genre, and it's also a total rip off from Jane Eyre. Except that now we got a Rochester with serious BO.

Ok you guys. I know a lot of us were disappointed and sad with this book. Me and Fresiako came up with a fanfic we hope will make you smile. Neither of us are writers or even aspiring ones lmfao but personally I've really enjoyed the time spent talking about this series with you guys. Since I have no intentions of reading any further books in this series I thought it'd be nice to leave a parting giftThis was just purely meant to be fun and bring people's spirits up here. Not for mass consumption lmao

As for the hunters, KMM said in her Q&A that there will be consequences because Y'rill broke many rules for Dani. Like you, I don't think they will help willingly but maybe they'll change their minds? What do you think about those consequences? Will they concern Y'rill or Dani? @Jade
I actually kind of like the idea that Y’rill broke rules for Dani. It sort of makes them two of a kind. I don’t think that Dani would get blamed for Y’rill breaking the rules. More like, Y’rill gets punished and Dani goes after the person who punishes Y’rill because she believes that it wasn’t Y’rill’s fault that she broke the rules to help Dani. That might be interesting to read about.
KMM:I think the feeling of contentment is because I deliberately gave the book a proper beginning, middle and end, without a cliffhanger. I haven't done that in nine books.

My jaw dropped a little at the idea that it was ‘always’ about Mac, but would definitely fit the vibe I was getting at the end of HV that Mac would be back in the next book (hey, that rhymes).

I am totally with you there. Give me more tribunal-perhaps the Nine having to bust Ryo out of some kind of prison where he gets locked up because he dared to make Dageus. That would be kind of cool. Would have to leave Dani at home though because with her new superpowers it would be waaaay too easy to smash in and pick him up lol. Re: Dani’s father, the weird thing is… in all the time I have been reading the books, I never once actually considered that Dani actually had a father or even who it might be-which is kind of weird since it probably does actually have a bearing on her powers (well, before she became a Hunter, anyway).
I wish there had been some of that because I can't even remember the sex scenes anymore. They were literally so boring they left no mark. While the sex scenes were few and far between in this book, I have to say that the first part of the final sex scene (where Dani was sitting in Ryo’s lap and was soooooo glad to see him she supposedly needed no foreplay) is still burnt across my retinas as a TMI in terms of the actual description. Actually, the more I think of it, the more I think the whole thing reminds me of the time when LKH morphed from a UF crime scene procedural author into a writer of erotica and all her fans got mad. Like that moment you mentioned and well, Dani holding Ryodan's member while saying something along the lines of she knew at 14 she wanted to be doing this in graphic detail. like ABORT MISSION. It read way more icky to me than sexy.. I dunno what this author has against foreplay though, her characters practically never engage in it lmao. For supposedly being such sex gods the nine are really slackin.

I lived for that series. I was traumatized when the author Discovered herself as a BDSM polyamorous woman and started writing Anita like her uggggh I have nothing against that lifestyle, but she completely changed a series to fit her emotional kinks instead of Staying true to It and idk starting a New thing them.

@Mellifluous, I haven't read LKH so can't compare the two authors, @ Emily The first nine or so books are OK but once she started to get into the BDSM and multiple sex partners things start getting really weird lol
