Hello! I joined this group a while ago but haven't had a chance to participate yet. I'm excited to read Salt to the Sea with you!My name is Laurie and I am a youth services librarian. This means I am surrounded by fabulous children's and YA books all day long! And I am in charge of our YA book collection (grins and rubs hands together maniacally).

Favorite Book(s): Lord of the Rings. Plus all the other books set in Middle-Earth. I like to blame Tolkien for my obsession with elves.
Favorite Book Genre: I love Fantasy in general, but I also like Urban Fantasy and Paranormal Romance. Thanks to Google, I've also recently figured out that a kind of stories I like actually have a genre: Portal Fantasy (Character from World A ends in World B).
Favorite Author: See, here's where I'm torn. I love Tolkien, but since I started to read Discworld a few years ago I've started to also like Terry Pratchett.
Favorite Color: Blue.
Favorite Food: Do desserts count? If so, it's freixós.
Any Pets: A cat that loves to ignore me and hisses at strangers before running away to hide.

Favorite Book(s): The Book Thief was a life-changer for me when I first read it. And then I guess that my favorite series would be the Throne of Glass Series by Sarah J. Maas. The first book was the best, but while going on the quality started steadily declining, but it's still a great read!
Favorite Book Genre: Anything that's fiction, but if I were to go a little bit more specific than that, historical fiction is my favorite of all time. I fantasize and daydream or time traveling back in history (kind of unusual for a teenager) and my books give me into an escape.
Favorite Author: A brilliant writer that can leave and let lightning from a bottle is Steig Larsson. He can really make your head explode, and he makes morning routines even sound interesting.
Favorite Color: Aruba teal, my whole room is painted this color and I adore and obsess over it.
Favorite Food: Grapefruit. Awesome source of Vitamin C and also I could eat three of these everyday for the rest of my life. I'm really dedicated man ;)

Birthday: August 23rdFavorite Book(s): This is a super difficult question for me right now since my reading tastes have drastically shifted recently, but here are a few books I really loved: Jane Eyre, the Harry Potter series, Into the Wild, and The Truth About Forever.
Favorite Book Genre: I've mostly read YA contemporary and fantasy, but lately I've really been getting into adult thriller and literary fiction!
Favorite Author: I don't have a favorite author currently, but I really like Jon Krakauer and Gillian Flinn. In the past, my favorites were John Green and Sarah Dessen, both of whom I still really like, but I wouldn't call them my favorites anymore.

I picked up Throne of Glass from the library the other day since everyone seems to be talking about it. I'm really excited to start that series!

Everyone talks about it because it's like... the best opener book ever! I adored it, because of the characters and the different aspects of the plots that were going on. You will probably enjoy it, but let me know anyways!

my favorite books are the book thief, into the wild, harry potter (i only read the first book tho) and other books in my 5 star shelf or favorites shelf.
favorite book genres are historical fiction, memoir, YA, and mystery although I do read books out of my comfort genres.
favorite author i have no idea tbh i have never read too many books from one author but i guess the authors who wrote my fav books.
favorite color is either red or black but i also love watercolor colors.

Hi everyone! I just joined this group, after one of my GR-friends (Audrey Jane) told me about it. And to throw myself right in the deep: I just joined the Woppler-challenge. It looks like a good and fun way to get some of you a little better!Something about me: I'm 42, married and have a son (Yannick = 10) and a daughter (Annika = 7). We live in the east of the Netherlands, close to the German border, in Nijmegen (the oldest city in the country - a few years ago we celebrated its 2000th birthday!). I love reading, walking and cycling in the forest, hugging my 2 rabbits and playing with my children.

Hi EveryoneMy name is Rachel, and I joined NBRC a long time ago, but never had the time (and stamina) to sit and try to figure out all these challenges and rules.
I joined because it's sound really fun to do all challenges, meet new people, (practice my english), and get out a little of my confort zone by reading new genres or breaking trough a realy "meh" book in order to complete a challenge :D (but lack of time and laziness kept me out of here)
All this changed when I recived the wobble's newsletter and I decided to figure out how things here worked.
I signed up for Wobble the same day, and in the next, I discovered the RPG and it sounded amazing!
Now I'm here, introducing myself and really excited to be part NBRC :D
