I’m done reading! I really liked it.
I am half way through but not enjoying this book on any level :(

Have you ever worked with someone like Eleanor?
She does seem very rigid in the beginning. I think she grows a lot throughout the book.

Eleanor has definitely grown on me as a character and it has been very satisfying to watch her transformation. I'm right at the part where (view spoiler)

My copy FINALLY arrived yesterday! Started listening to it this morning. I apologize for being so late.
After completing the first disc, I have one thought - Eleanor reminds of Sheldon Cooper of "The Big Bang Theory". Friday night has to be pizza night, she HAS to call Mummy on Wednesday, and so on. If anyone here watches that show, you understand what I mean.

That's a great connection! My favorite part of The Big Bang Theory is Sheldon's couch cushion.

Just finished this today - listened to the audio version. I enjoyed this one much more than I thought I would. By the end I was feeling the same emotions Eleanor was feeling, whether she was talking about Mummy, sharing tea with Raymond and his mom, or looking for Maryann. I thought her jealousy of Laura was cute and being a cat lover, I was just picturing her caring for Glen. All in all, a fun book.
Unlike Courtney, the ending did NOT surprise me.
