Clare Folan (clarefolan) | 12 comments Hello Goodreaders.

I am in desperate need to find new books where the plot is about the main characters being on the run from either the government or someone familiar. It’s so hard to find books with this type of plot since it seems I’ve read them all, all the good ones anyway. It can be any category from Sci-Fi to Contemporary, I don’t mind. It’d be awesome if the characters could fight too but it isn’t a must. I just love the suspense and danger of the characters being on the run constantly moving from one place to the other, being on guard and careful, being chased, and fight scenes especially in a Dystopian world or Sci-Fi, as they’re my favorites. It would be awesome if the characters were a group of friends/family who are loyal to one another with a tight bond and don’t keep secrets with the two main characters in a romantic relationship. All my books have to have a strong romance in them.

While we’re at it, know any good Dystopian books?

Please suggest some for me to check out.

Thank you in advance.

SamSpayedPI | 2300 comments They're not romances, but you could try:
The Running Man by Richard Bachman (Stephen King)
City of Illusions by Ursula K. Le Guin
Logan's Run by William F. Nolan

Ebookworm2016 | 182 comments The Chemist--by Stephenie Meyer of the sparkly vampire books. 😀. But, this book is totally different.

"A former operative for a secret government agency that killed her mentor, must take extraordinary steps to stay alive."

Hum, this series is set during the temper tantrum that the Super Volcano out west--aka Yellowstone throws every 100,000 years. Essential Beginnings is the first book in the series (which is finished, so no waiting for that last book). The MC's are fighting to reach a sanctuary that is owned by the H's former Marine Tank MGunnerySgt. Interesting series, and I liked the descriptions of what was happening. No tstl characters--except for a few of the villains.

There's also the The Bourne Identity series. I liked the books much more than the movie--which I screamed at a lot. (Needless to say that I didn't watch the movie in the theatre. My husband no longer takes me to any movie that's based on a book that I might have read for that reason.)

Days Like This - Aussie Dystopian

All Our Yesterdays

Unwind is amazing, one of my favourite series!

Delirium

And this isn't a running from the Government one but the main character is trying to escape from captors (it is dystopian) Wither
