LaurLa | 5085 comments I will have my week 10 completion done today or tomorrow. For the final week call, though, I will be out of town with my son's rugby team at the national invitation tournament. I'll have access and time to read, but will have some chaperoning duties plus the game on Saturday. I will try my very best to find a shortish book and read it as quickly as possible Friday night/Saturday morning. But I did want to let you know I had some RL stuff come up at the last minute (they needed additional parent volunteers...).

Hopefully our last call will be an easy one!!

GreenFairy (greenfairy429) | 1096 comments LaurLa, do you have a list of books for the categories remaining that you have set up to read?

If so, you can send me a PM with the list and I can do the selection post for you. Or, if you want to just go with Option 2, you can PM me that selection as well.

message 253: by LaurLa (new)

LaurLa | 5085 comments I’ll take a look in my downtime tomorrow at the renaming categories. I’m not so much worried about the selection as getting it read and posted timely... but I will do my very bestest.

LaurLa | 5085 comments Week 10 - Completion Post -- Option 1

The Wonderful Wizard of Oz by L. Frank Baum - L. Frank Baum
How it fits: between 100-200 pp
Pages: 136
Date Read: 05.16
Rating: ★★★
Review:
What can I say? It's a children's book. Yes, a classic, but still a children's book. I am glad I read it since I never did as a child, so I can now say I did. I did enjoy it's simplicity. Lot's of adventures and obstacles to overcome but all of the solutions were simple and didn't require anything of the reader but to just enjoy. I am planning to read the next in the series and looking forward to it because I would like to see more of this crazy land of Oz.

Do we still read / finish our books?

message 271: by GreenFairy (new)

GreenFairy (greenfairy429) | 1096 comments No, Jane, you don't need to read/finish your books. I am going to because I love the author I'm reading and hooked into the book LOL

Debbie (Doc) | 345 comments I was out of town all day and didn't get home until late. I see where another team has already won. Wow, that was fast!

message 276: by Rachel (new)

Rachel | 171 comments That was fast, well its been fun. I enjoyed being on the team. I don't think I am going to read last book. I got three other books I am juggling at the moment. lol.

message 277: by GreenFairy (new)

GreenFairy (greenfairy429) | 1096 comments For some reason, teams seem to take their time from Week 1-10. Then Week 11 it's like they turn into speed readers LOL

Rachel, I'm reading 4 books right now. Totally get it!

message 278: by Jane (new)

Jane | 548 comments I think my book just got sent down my list of priorities when I don't need to read it.

Thanks all. We've had a good team here, but you are right GreenFairy it often turns into speed reading the last week.
