March BOTM: Wicked: The Life and Times of the Wicked Witch of the West

Greetings!

We have our winner for March's BOTM! Wicked: The Life and Times of the Wicked Witch of the West by Gregory Maguire. I am excited to read this one mostly because I want to see if I will actually enjoy it or not. I have gone back and forth for a few years now about whether or not I would like to read it because I only hear two things from people who have read it. It's either 'I absolutely loved it." or 'I absolutely hated it.' I've never known what to think! Because of how much I read and how massive my 'to-read' list, I am often hesitant to read books that I don't think I will like because I don't want to waste valuable reading time on a bad book. So, when I come across something like this where I have no idea what I'll think of it, it takes me a while to decide. But it looks like it's finally been decided for me. So I am going to give this book a go and see what I think of it. I hope that those of you who would like to participate in this month's read share your thoughts because I would really like to discuss this book as I read it and when I am finished. And, side note, the reviews for the other two books kind of had the same 'I loved/hated it' vibe which piqued my interested quite a bit so I might find myself reading those two as well! Please tell the group your thoughts!

Anyone else participating in this months read?

Well, I'm not super far in just yet, but so far I have been enjoying the book. I can see how people think this should have been made into more than one book though. It gets really in depth into a story line and gets you hooked and then hops to something else. Overall though, I am enjoying..so far!
