This time we will read Kazuo Ishiguro's Never Let Me Go :)

Blurb :
Kazuo Ishiguro imagines the lives of a group of students growing up in a darkly skewed version of contemporary England.

Narrated by Kathy, now thirty-one, Never Let Me Go dramatises her attempts to come to terms with her childhood at the seemingly idyllic Hailsham School and with the fate that has always awaited her and her closest friends in the wider world.

A story of love, friendship and memory, Never Let Me Go is charged throughout with a sense of the fragility of life.

Annemette | 28 comments yay, has been on my list for ages!

Kristina Not gonna lie, I voted for this book knowing I had already read it but was hoping for a reprieve this month because I’m crazy busy and I also want to catch up on the thousands of books from my reading list. So YAYAYAYAYAYAYAY! Enjoy this one, it’s a lovely read. Beautiful language with an aching sense of nostalgia.

Allisha (leeshee) | 40 comments Recently stumbled on the movie on Netflix. Didn’t know it was a book. The movie felt beautiful, yet odd. I’m sure the book was better. I can’t wait to start!

Ellen Forkin (ellen_forkin) | 26 comments I feel I mucked up the pronunciation of Kazuo Ishiguro's beautiful name! The librarian just looked at me and said, 'I know the one you mean'. *Hides face*
Looking forward to starting the book after I've finished the one I'm currently reading... :)

If this helps:

ka-zoo-oh ee-shee-goo-roh

I'm trying to learn Japanese and to my understanding that's how those vowels are pronounced. I might be wrong, but that's how i would pronounce it.

Thanks, Ashley, that really helps! Learning Japanese is super impressive, I've always loved their gorgeous way of writing.
