And I really hope Percy goes to get his mother. I really like the world-building so far, the twist on mythology of Olympus moving from place to place and now being in America is interesting. The monster chapters make me chuckle. Medusa and Echidna are just so absurd. And Percy's mouth is always getting him into trouble. I thought the food Medusa was feeding them was poisoned or a sleep draft or something, but nope just a good old food coma. (hide spoiler)]

Grover's commentary on people with different religious beliefs just seeing the Underworld differently was actually really intriguing. (hide spoiler)]

(view spoiler)[ I'm not sure I 100% understand Luke's motivations. Like was did he already have a propensity to be evil, or did Kronos really play volleyball with his mind? Like clearly Ares had a propensity to be involved in something like this.

And Thank God his mom came back and got rid of Smelly Gabe. What a terrible human being. I like that Hades isn't really evil, and that we can feel bad for his situation. I hate that Hades is often characterized as some evil part of the Underworld. Really everyone in the Underworld is humanized, even Cerberus (I loved this Cerberus). (hide spoiler)]

I love the way he discovered by was a son of Poseidon.
And when he visited the Oracle, I'd be totally freaked out too!

Finished. Review: I think out of all the times I've read this, this was the time I most enjoyed it. I flew through it, as it was my first time listening to it on audio. I think that's the reason why I loved it. The narrator was just so easy to listen to. The events seemed much more compact, and it was like there was so much action! And all of the action parts stood out to me so much more. I remember it a lot better. There was a crap-ton that happened in this book, I can't believe how much the movie left out (from what I remember anyway). The stone garden, the zoo animals, the pearls, the casino, the Furies, Mrs Dodds, Chiron and Cerberus, meeting the gods, the Love Tunnel. Just a lot of things in my brain right now. I could think of more that happened but I don't want this review to get too long. This time around I will finally get to the rest of them, I promise, as I am listening to them all on audio. Makes it so much easier.
