First quarter - (view spoiler)[I love how Hannah and Kady and all the others have been reunited but it is so sad to see them suffering. They don't have the medical aid to help Ella and Hannah is suffering after the death of her father. I feel for all but these two are breaking me!

I'm liking Asha's perspective, stuck on the bombed planet and with a countdown adding tension to her insights. Her ex-boyriend is on the side of their oppresors and might be her only way to overthrow them. (hide spoiler)]

Third quarter - (view spoiler)[This book really helps to give the reader the human face of war by providing perspectives of the suffering of those stuck on the illegal community. I'm glad we have Asha's perspective, as well as the insights to the lives of those closer to her. (hide spoiler)]

Fourth quarter- (view spoiler)[The reveal that the head of the enemy they are facing is Ezra's mother makes me shiver every time, even though I know it is coming. I also love how Ella and Aiden work together to infiltrate the enemy's tech. This whole conclusion is so cleverly done and the scenes of action and bloodshed so tense to read about! (hide spoiler)]
