ReBoot: The Guardian Code

I think every TV and Movie high school is full of 25 year olds. Some are even in their 30s. At least Ann Hathaway was only 19 when she played a 15/16 year old in Princess Diaries.

ReBoot was not just one of the greatest cartoons of all time, it was also one of the greatest TV series. It was smart and funny and clever and brilliantly made, all wrapped up in a cool story set in a unique world.
And they turned it into this warmed-over sewage. I’m guessing the producers ran out of puppies to kick.

They never ReBoot our favourite shows to the quality we expect. I hate the new version of Battlestar Galactica. I grew up with the original. Saw the movie when it came out. Starbuck and Boomer are guys. And Adama is Lorne Green. Just like my Pop vinyls.
Having older people as school students is actually a real problem when it comes to the self esteem of actual school kids. Some kids think that they aren’t good enough or together enough because they don’t look like the “kids” who are supposedly their age on TV. Sounds silly but it’s true.

How in the world could they do it so badly? It is one thing to miss the mark, but they hit the MACS0647-JD galaxy (which is a candidate for the farthest known galaxy). The CGI is worse, the story line is shot, and the actors? Who did they hire to come up with this? Certainly no one that had ever seen the original or have a clue what fans would actually want.

This is the sort of creativity the ReBoot remake needed. Wreck It Ralph is an amazingly great movie and this sequel certainly shows potential.
“Bunny gets the pancaaaake.”
How is it that a brand new show has worse CGI than one made 24 years ago? Whose idea was it to cast 25-year-olds as high school students? How did anyone think 5is pile of steaming hot garbage was a good idea?
