Girl goes to a vampire bar with her friend who wants to be a vampire and she finds an older, high up vamp who falls for her. I think she's wearing a "bite me" shirt? They fly on a plane to England at some point and girl meets a lady vamp who wants her man. They have a series where the girls eventually have to go to the underworld and have the men forget about them to save their men's lives?

Please help! This is driving me crazy!

Funny enough I thought the same from just reading the header but NONE of these facts line up with the Sookie Stackhouse stories. There is no trip to England, definitely no shirt with "bite me" on it and no friend who wants to be a vampire. Sookie is working as a waitress when she meets Bill at the place where she works... And no underworld and forgetting them either to save their lives. At one point sure, there is a female vampire who wants Bill back but... I seriously don't believe the Sookie books are right. Plus they aren't so old, but then again everyone's definition of 'years ago' varies...
