SOLVED. irish mother and daughter move to aunt and uncle's house after the father's death [s]

Okay, so this book takes place in Ireland and the protagonist, a girl in her late teens but younger than 18, and her mother move to the "brother" of the mother's home after the father died. the protagonist used to be rich but the father had left them in debt. the mother's 'brother' has a wife name Rose(or that was her nickname). The brother wouldn't talk much and worked as a groundskeeper at an old abandoned castle, i believe. the mother became severely depressed after her husband's death and wouldn't talk to anyone[from here on will probably be only spoilers!] but one day she tell's her daughter 'prettier than a rose'. the protagonist meets an older boy, older than 18, who drives a 'moving library'. they become friends and eventually love interest and the protagonist convinces him to drive them to her old house where they have sex. the next day they're found and he gets in trouble for sleeping with a minor but i'm fairly sure he doesn't go to jail. across the house of her aunt and uncle's is another home where they say Rose's mother lives. later on, it show's that it is a man named Isaac, I think, lives there. Isaac is the protagonist real father but was thought to be dead after a bad house fire(he lived in the castle). Rose had fallen in love with isaac but the protagonist's mother had also, that is where 'prettier than a rose' comes in, isaac had told the mother that she was prettier than rose. the mother had been a daughter of a maid of isaac's family and that's how they met. Rose, Isaac, the uncle and the mother were childhood friends. the uncle was never related to the mother. the protagonist also befriends a nun who keeps bees and had baptized her. at the end she finds out isaac is her father, rose and her uncle are actually not her aunt and uncle and that her mother had been depressed before, when isaac 'died'.I'm sorry this is out of order and choppy. I tried to remember everything I could about this book. I read it 2 years ago and lost the book but I want to re-read it. I also remember the cover was purple and florally, if that helps
