All the Birds in the Sky

I just started All the Birds in the Sky because I read the first sentence on the back of the book and immediately thought THIS IS FOR ME.

And this concludes the first meeting of LKBC. <3

I haven't read any of these! This might be dangerous... I'm constantly trying to make a dent in my to-read list :P

Nicholas Ridings (nicholasridings) | 8 comments American Gods could be dangerous but i think Anansi Boys is a soft entrance for it. Currently reading The Man in the High Castle to get it off the shelf but Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep? (blade runner is the movie) and A Scanner Darkly are probably the only reasons why its on there. Loved A Scanner Darkly never seen the movie though.

Becks | 4 comments I have, it's good but don't expect it to be the same To Kill a Mockingbird. The tone is different and how Harper Lee treats some characters differently than how you would have expected it.

Nicholas Ridings (nicholasridings) | 8 comments I had heard she wrote this book 1st and they wanted an earlier verison so it was in a safe until she was dying when her laywer found it and got her to sign it over. Always wondered if Truman Capote(dill in the book) helped her with To Kill a Mockingbird since it was the only book she wrote but she did help him with In Cold Blood thought maybe he helped her rewrite this book into To Kill a Mockingbird, hoping to see hints of something

Becks | 4 comments Its different. All the kids are adults and Atticus is a very old man. They dont flow together as well as it could be hoped but by themselves they are good.

Nicholas Ridings (nicholasridings) | 8 comments finished go set a watchman and i did enjoy it. reading the reviews i dont think people understood it very well. kind of like the book was saying, i dont think theyve grown up enough to think about it and i still dont think atticus was a racist. i see why people are saying it but i dont think they put much thought in what he was trying to say
