Oh yeah, Paula. I know what you're sayin'. BTW did you know that actor is actually an Aussie? Does that make him hotter?

Nay, I know what you're sayin' too. I reread BB not that long ago and liked it better than my first read. I think I understood Chloe a bit better this time around. Then I reread Max and Sara's story. That was as far as I got. So, good timing for this buddy read.

Yep, I totally agree Jan. I did read some of the Wild Seasons Crossovers, because I think Will has a cameo in one of them, and I know Max does. I love love love them. Serious love for the BB boys. So glad you guys are loving them. I just love our unfiltered heroine here! She's smart, you know? Even though she's naive...she's still smart. Gah! I just love her! And Will, there's no contest!

Nay (4ukcats) I just finished re-reading Beautiful Bastard, and really, Beautiful Player was much better. Written better, MUCH better dialogue, better romance, everything.

I was going to re-read Beautiful Stranger, but I just read my original review, and I don't think I want to now, lol. So I guess it's on to Beautiful Beginning.

Melinda Ruyten | 1027 comments Weeeelllll, I'm just having a lovely love affair with Wil all by myself. Aaaaahhh

Paula White | 800 comments 82% - gaahhhh I just wish she would speak to him!

Paula White | 800 comments Done! 4* for me

Melinda Ruyten | 1027 comments No, it's not. Really Paula? Didn't you love it? I was sure you would love it?

Paula White | 800 comments I really enjoyed it - it was witty and fun - 4* is very good!!

Melinda Ruyten | 1027 comments What do you give 5* to Paula? Maybe that rock star book we read by Karen Cimms? What your ultimate good book? Your fav? I'm interested.

Kooloo | 596 comments Ditto
*shines spotlight on Paula*
*hands Paula the 🎤 *

Paula White | 800 comments The last one of Karen Cimms I 5*. Me Before You got 5*. If it draws emotion out of me I will give a book 5* or if I can not put it down that sometimes gets a 5*

My favourites are not all 5*

Paula White | 800 comments Oh and I love a rockstar 😀😀

Melinda Ruyten | 1027 comments Me too😁😁

Melinda Ruyten | 1027 comments They are very very similar to my favourites too. I saw you liked Dear Aaron too. Nobody here likes that much. But I like that slow draw out build up, 😊

Paula White | 800 comments I do too and the author manages to make you feel too - gotta Love a lump in the throat or a book that makes you grin!

I was going to re-read Beautiful Stran..."

I think the first book was their 'first book'. I understand it originally started as a fan fiction (for Twilight or something?? LOL) I know it seems a stretch, but I read something like that somewhere. But whateva, the writing certainly seems cruder (in several ways LOL) and doesn't have the deft touch of later books.

Paula, IKWYM. I sometimes don't give a full five stars to a book I still 'loved'. e.g. I gave my darling HR Devil in Spring 'only' 4.5 stars cos there was a slightly lame plot point near the end and it wasn't perfect. But nearly :D

But this one, I totally loved it. 5 stars all the way. I can't believe I'm still enjoying it so much on what must be my third or fourth read. I'm about 2/3 through at the moment.

Nay, I did reread Beautiful Stranger not that long ago, and although there was some of it I didn't like (view spoiler) I still really enjoyed it. I don't really like the whole exhibitionist thang, but I just LOVED the MCs and the development of their romance.

*goes to check out Karen Cimms rock star books*

Nay (4ukcats) Jan--I agree about Beautiful Stranger. And when I read my review and was reminded of that part of the book, that made me decide not to reread it. I LOVE BDSM books, but there are elements (menage) and the one in BS that I'm not thrilled with reading about. Although I've read a ton with both and ended up enjoying them. lol

message 69: by Nay (new) - rated it 5 stars

Nay (4ukcats) *also goes to check out Karen Cimms rock star books, which sound familiar*

Melinda Ruyten | 1027 comments I haven't read beautiful stranger yet. That might be next. I just love the romance. Maybe I'm just easy to please. I'm at 90% second read through. Still really enjoyed it.

The Karen cimms book is very good. There's 3 books in the series. The first is the best. In my opinion but I think I gave them all 5 stars. It was Paula's rec.

Melinda Ruyten | 1027 comments KOOOOOOOLLLOOOOO, FUNNY AS. Only just saw your comment.

Kooloo | 596 comments HELLO😳

Melinda Ruyten | 1027 comments 😘. Kooloo, haven't forgotten you.

Jan (jan130) Hahaha. I just discovered I bought Book 1 of Karen Cimms in May last year. Who knew? Not me, obvs. WTF.

Welp....... *boosts At This Moment up the tbr* *embarrassed grin*

Nay (4ukcats) Melinda--I agree. I LOVE the romance in these. These two women know how to write very sexy scenes (and uber sexy men)!

Jan--I bought it in May too. As soon as I finished Beautiful Beginning, I'm thinking about giving it a shot. Buuut, I saw that UF writer Jaye Wells released a series book in Dec. that I've been waiting for for 3 years, so I may have to dig into that first.

message 76: by Jan (new) - rated it 5 stars

Jan (jan130) Haha Nay. Decisions decisions....

Melinda Ruyten | 1027 comments At this moment is very good. It was a great rec from Paula.

Nay, are you enjoying the next one?

Jan...... no excuses. 😜

Paula White | 800 comments I recommend you all read the Karen Cimms books they are so good and a bit different from the usual Rockstar books

Another favourite of mine is Lily of the Springs by Carole Bellacera

message 79: by Jan (new) - rated it 5 stars

Jan (jan130) I finished my BP reread last night. I laughed again over the scenes at the Bergstroms' place. The scene when (view spoiler). Makes me laugh every time.

I liked the ending of the book too. The miscommunications are of course a little frustrating. Just talk to each other already! But I liked that it didn't drag on too long. I thought ending with (view spoiler) was a good way to handle it. Different from the usual cliches. A really well-written CR. On this reread I was starting to think there was maybe a bit too much sex - a bit unbelievably so in some parts. But the story carried you along so there were no eyerolls. And I'm still in love with Will. :D
