I am nervous too. I’ve never done anything like this but I think it will be fun, too.

Hi Group A! I'm Tricia. I am also nervous and excited. I'm not sure what's driving the words. Probably my need to do this "just right." haha
I have zero preference in all the different variables of the group. I'm a "go with the flow" sort of person. Am eager to pick a book, decide on journal, post-it's, or write in book, and just jump in and go for it!

My question, how do we choose a book, how do we find books that haven’t been read by 5 of us?

Could we all post a list of a number of books that we'd like to read but haven't...and then see if any of them overlap up to the 5?Kristel wrote: "Group A _________ (name) Any creative ideas?

Are you all still waiting on two members to check in? Let me know if they don’t reach out in the next few days because I can find at least one replacement if needed. It’s still early so not concerned at all but want to stay on top of things.

Back from vacation and ready to do this 😊I would love to read Mrs. Dalloway!
Some others I haven’t read but would love to:
House of Leaves - mark danielewski
Savage Detectives
The things they carried - Tim O’Brien
The history of the siege of Lisbon (or anything by José Saramago)
The golden notebook - Doris Lessing
Giovanni’s room or Go Tell it on a mountain - James Baldwin
Anything on the list by Rebecca west
Thoughts?
Also, I’d love to read Murakami - I’ve read The Wind-Up Bird Chronicles but that’s it.Baldwin, Rebecca West, and Virginia Woolf seem to be popular choices. I’d also be interested in reading Loving.

Deb did you look at my list? I see you responded to Tricia's but not mine. From your list the ones I would be interested in are something for Saramago, Giovanni's Room and Rebecca West (I have The Return of the Soldier on my list. I am intentionally staying away from long books as I am a slow reader and taking on a book with many pages could be a problem. From your list the only two I have read are The things They Carried and Go Tell It on a Mountain.

Hi all,
I'll be adding two new members to your group to replace the inactive members so you can get started. I'll send you three (Kristel, Debra, and Tricia) an email and you should do introductions.

I've read The Things They Carried. If we go Saramego , I've read Blindness (it's outstanding) but would definitely be willing to try more. If we choose Mrs. Dalloway, from my list, I'd really be rooting for one of the Baldwin books from Deb's list! LOLI'm striking out books that have been read on my list. Don't want to delete because I think that will create confusion. Unless I can't figure out how to strike through. Then I'll drop them off. ha

I am ok with all of these books. I think I read [book:The Lost Language of Cranes when I was in uni, but I can't remember it so I would not mind rereading it if that were the case.
Hey Hallie and Jeimy! I just wanted to make sure you received my e-mail - I wasn’t sure if Goodreads or e-mail would be your communication preference, so let me know. Looking forward to this 😊

Hi all,Here it is! I am linking to a google document with all of our information and a schedule of books/mailings. Kristel, I didn't know your last name, and Jeimy, I wasn't sure of your note preferences. This is my first time organizing a swap like this, so feel free to correct mistakes or add info - I am allowing you all to edit! Have a great weekend :-)

By the way, I might start up a litsy account soon, but I'm really busy this week so probably won't soon. If you see this, feel free to share with our group through litsy, and if you make any updates, I'd appreciate them addressed here. Also, can we all give a short bio of who we are? When I have more time I will give one - for right now, my daughter and I are off to a playdate!
