Hi! There’s a new season of channel zero on syfy. It’s called Butcher’s Block. Only 2 episodes out so far but I like it a lot. Here’s what IMDb says about it

When a young woman named Alice moves to a new city, she learns about a series of disappearances that may be connected to a baffling rumor about mysterious staircases in the city's worst neighborhoods.

The mysterious staircase is in the middle of a very overgrown, returned to nature park.
You can watch it in the app as well. That’s how I’m watching.

That's how I felt about the second episode, I wasn't sure what I was watching.

No-End House was season 2 and I liked it mostly for John Carroll Lynch.

Erin (ems84) | 9056 comments I feel like Channel Zero is like American Horror Story, in some ways, how the seasons start off strong but then seem to taper off into being strange or downright bizarre. It worked for AHS, for awhile, until it got to the point where it wasn't enjoyable to watch anymore, at least for me.

I haven’t watched it enough to agree or disagree- channel zero, I mean but AHS, yes. I didn’t watch Hotel or cult & doubt I ever will.

Yes. This exactly.

I agree with this as well. I always love the first few episodes and then it goes off the rails and loses my interest.

Bob (ilovepie) | 158 comments I am really liking this season. Its dark, and considerable messed up. Also for everyone who is unfamiliar with the source material for Butchers Block, check the link below. It is considerable nightmare fuel.

thanks Bob, I'll have to listen to it a little at a time but I saw black eyed kids in the description so I'll have to start listening very early. I can't listen to stories about them after dark. they scare me very badly.

Bob (ilovepie) | 158 comments First off. Latasha, you are very welcome.

I honestly don't remember any black eyed children in the story (though there are mentions at the end of black eyed people), but they are nothing compared to many of the equally terrifying ... monstrosities presented in the tales.

The gentleman who narrates the story uses images that show the basics of what the story is about. They are mainly there so you don't have to stare at a blank screen while he's talking.

None the less. I think that you will love the story. The author of the tales has stated that she wants to take these stories, and make a book about them, or surrounding them. I really hope she does this. She is very, very talented, and knows how to tell a frightening story.

I loved the first season - Candle Cove. No-End House started with a bang but quickly became repetitive and boring. Butcher's Block started better than No-End House, but the last couple eps have again felt like they didn't have enough story to stretch even 6 eps, so it's more of the same. Pretty disappointed. May just have to go watch Candle Cove again.

Laurie (barksbooks) (barklesswagmore) | 1471 comments I'm on ep. 3 of Butcher's Block and I'm still loving it. It is so disturbing and I love Rutger Hauer.
