I have a feeling this is going to be the best of all the books because it starts off freaky! Lol

Finished Ch. 10 and OMG I love this book!


Camelia: (view spoiler)[ I rally feel bad for her. I can't imagine what she must be feeling to feel so betrayed, and worse yet is to worry that she might be mental like her aunt supposedly is. (hide spoiler)]

Sasha: (view spoiler)[Her chapters (I assume she is the 2nd POV) are FREAKY to say the least! She is only 15 years old and living a nightmare! Just being in the dark alone would by so psychologically horrible and to be given a cat litter box...ugh, what a creep! And then the tape recording. I hope she can outsmart him and not give away who she really is to him. (hide spoiler)]

Camelia's parents: (view spoiler)[ I can see their point to a degree for not telling her, but I believe with adoption it is best to know from day one. I don't like how they are handling it now either. I hope that Camelia can learn to trust her dad again because they have had such a special relationship! (hide spoiler)]

Adam: (view spoiler)[ Okay, he might be nice and tries really hard, but he just doesn't get Camelia the way Ben does. She and Ben better get back together in this book! (hide spoiler)]

Camelia's father; (view spoiler)[ I wonder who her biological father is and if there is any real mystery. My first thought was how awful it would be if he was the man holding Sasha, but I think he is too young. I hope we find out that story! (hide spoiler)]

The whole tone of the book is just so (view spoiler)[darn freaky and frightening! I really feel Sasha's fear and how helpless she feels as she tries to claw her way out of a steel room. So darn scary! (hide spoiler)]

I just can't believe that Camelia (view spoiler)[ has to hear cries of a kidnapped girl all the time. I can only begin to fathom what torture that would be! I love her gutsy attitude. She snagged up Wes's car keys? LOL (hide spoiler)]

C-squared: (view spoiler)[ OMG! What a couple of airheads! LOL They crack me up, and if Camelia is "lucky," they can become C-cubed. LOL (hide spoiler)]

Neal: (view spoiler)[ Obviously he hears the kidnapper and Camelia hears the victim, so they'll team up to solve the mystery. When will Ben come into the picture? (hide spoiler)]

Sasha: (view spoiler)[ OMG! That poor, poor girl! She'd rather have her kidnapper stay with her than be in the total dark. I can see that, but I'd think that I'd be feeling like as long as he wasn't right there, I was "safe." God! I just can't imagine the horror she's going through! (hide spoiler)]

Camelia's parents: (view spoiler)[ I just don't get her mother at all. What kind of "hug" was that at Sumner College when she said her good-byes? I think her dad genuinely loves/adores her but I just don't understand her mother's standoffish attitude at all! (hide spoiler)]

Neal: (view spoiler)[ His journal entries really are eerie. I wonder if they saw him out of their window. I wonder when he and Camelia will meet and how. You know they have to solve this together since he has the visions of the kidnapper and she has them of Sasha. (hide spoiler)]

Mrs. Beckerman: (view spoiler)[ I wonder if she really was abusive or simply just really distanced from Sasha. She did seem to believe Camelia's psychometric abilities. (hide spoiler)]

Wes: (view spoiler)[ I love how he is there for Camelia, or at least he tries to be. He seems to keep her somewhat grounded. He's so adorable! (hide spoiler)]

Green car: (view spoiler)[ I wonder if the girl in the car is the kidnapper's girlfriend. She thinks he is cheating on her, so maybe she had intentions of following him. I don't think she has a clue what he is doing or that he has Sasha. I could be wrong, but I think the guy that Neal saw who has a girlfriend is the same as the kidnapper. (hide spoiler)]

Mailbox Girl: (view spoiler)[I am not sure if she is really the kidnapper's girlfriend or if she is another of his victim's. But she is definitely (I think) the same girl that Neal calls the kidnapper's girlfriend. I think she knows "Tommy" is doing some bad things and is trying to get Camelia to stop it somehow. Although I'm not sure how she'd have known about Camelia or gotten her number. Still a mystery to me. (hide spoiler)]

Camelia (view spoiler)[ I don't know. I'm glad she went to Tayla (is that the counselors name?) anyway, I like that she pointed out that her anger was probably misdirected and for her to really search it out.
I know she might feel betrayed, but it's really more fear. She KNOWS her parents love her. I'm sure they meant to tell her but really.....I can see why they didn't yet...How much more scared and how much more might she have cycled out of control in the last book if she'd known then. YIKES. I don't know if she would have gotten the help she needed or built her support system. I think she needed to not know as she got her footing with this ability (hide spoiler)]

Kimmie (view spoiler)[ I'm so glad Kimmie was sitting on her couch when she got home that I could just hug her. she's the sweetest. I'm so glad she was there for her! (hide spoiler)]

Sasha (view spoiler)[ The girl being held. I'm so sad for her. Her story of how she was abducted is SO sad but I can see how it could so easily go down :(

I just wanted to say that I adore this series. I love all of the characters and the suspense was good and (view spoiler)[yet no one was killed. The romance was very appropriate for younger audiences. I'm SO glad that Ben and Camelia got together. I honestly can't believe that I did't know Neal was Ben. LOL I thought he was another person that would help her solve the crime. (hide spoiler)]
