Everytime they describe Fin I picture Sephiroth. All he needs is 1 wing and the FFVII final battle music playing in the background and he's a dead ringer.

I'm about 30% in. I've been rolling my eyes the whole way so far 😂
Hahaha. I read it so fast (to avoid crying all the time about the ending of Age of War) that I didn't feel that annoyed at the end. My eyes already rolled all the way back so it couldn't get any worse xD

Rap? Tor? Omfg have a smigeon of creativity please) was that they're all 65M yrs old? Um.... I googled all these dinosaur species (as the author could have) because all of these large carnivores couldn't have lived at the same time. Some of them are 145M years old. Basically they all lived at different times. And I get that T Rex was 65M so for Ty to say it is one thing, but Fin says it while talking to all of them. They're all of different ages. Some double the others. Little things like that just really annoy me. Though it's not like that's the only eye rolly thing about this book ;-)
Oh yeah, that's a rather usual mistake with movies/series/books dealing with dinosaurs, I think. I googled all the dinosaurs as well, but mainly for the pictures haha.
How is it going, are you making any progress?I don't think I'll be continuing the series. Too much eye-rolling involved :p If you guys want to keep going, I'll patiently wait for the next series :)

But really, I prefer the slighty more UF story-focused books like Georgina Kincaid, if you guys have anything like that on your TBR...
Oh great, I like the UF-style books better as well :)I'm haven't read a lot of UF so it's more finding books that both you and Diana haven't read yet :p I'll see if I can find something.

I also tried Midnight Breeds at some point, but it was too similar to Black Dagger Brotherhood for me... back when I read BDB...
That's my problem with UF/PNR... I've either read it or have Opinions already :)
At one point or another, half those books were on my TBR, and were removed during my TBR cleanings...
I'd be up for reading KT, if Diana wants to do a re-read :)

Yeah, I realized that while looking for possible reads. I ended up adding every PNR/UF book that you didn't mark as read since there were so few xD

I'm at 90%. I'll finish tonight. I am def not continuing. I'm giving it 1 star cuz I started to massively skim to finish. I have SO many issues with this book. From the instalove to the tell and not show to the horrible sex scenes (I've forgiven other eye rolly adult books before because at least they deliver where you expect, but even the sex scenes here were the worst, least sexy scenes ever. Not even foreplay. Just take off your shirt, bang for a bit, the end). Anyway, this book had nothing positive going for it, imo.

We can start Magic Bites before I finish Eternal Pleasure, if you guys want... I have the entire KD series on audio from my last readthrough...
Hoping to be relatively caught up by Wednesday/Thursday... currently reading Percy Jackson, then I need to quickly read the last Charm of Magpies book, a Bookburners episode, and Wrath of Empire... then I'm available for Kate Daniels and Rithmatist, I think...
Yaaaay! KD it is, then :DI have BRs for Witcher #2 and Rithmatist coming up but after that, I'm game :D
My August is pretty full (damn it, I overbooked myself again :/) so I probably won't be able to binge KD like I did the second half of Georgina Kincaid.
I need to listen to Abaddon's Gate and The Rithmatist but I can start Magic Bites between other books. Let me know when you guys start and I'll just start with you.
This series is too long to binge. I won't have time to binge 9 books in a row either, but I can binge in groups of 2 maybe.

Btw, I also loved the novellas, so this is one series where I think those are worth reading.
Yeah, book 1 was meh. I think I gave it 3 stars. But then it started getting better and better and better with the following books.

The Iron Covenant trilogy all takes place between books 9 & 10, but Iron & Magic just came out a few weeks ago, and the rest of the trilogy won't come out until next year and the year after probably, but the authors have said they are intended to be read in publication order (with Magic Triumphs due out in a few weeks)

It's a collection of scenes from Curran's POV from mostly the early books of the series... best read around book 5-6, I think, since some of the scenes reveal info you shouldn't know yet...
