Which one is being read now? Showalter or still Mead? :)

message 152: by Virginie (new)

Virginie | 6109 comments Still Mead: Succubus on Top

cool :) I'm keeping an eye out for your next reads haha.

Diana Stormblessed (dashichka) | 5391 comments Got the book! Starting it tonight.

I agree with all of that. (view spoiler)

I'm cool with shape shifting, but it breaks my believability when shifters start shape shifting their clothes. That's just a hard no.

I agree with your points. (view spoiler)

Sha | 1522 comments I'm starting to think Dana (view spoiler)

Should that even be in a spoiler tag? It's more of a hypothesis. I'm not sure if I overuse or underuse spoiler tags.

message 159: by Virginie (new)

Virginie | 6109 comments Mmmh, you could be right!

I always overuse spoiler tags. Like, I put the entire comment inside and indicates where I'm at. Just in case

Think that's common in the homophobic.

Sha | 1522 comments Georgina and Seth are cute (especially in this book, I must admit I thought they (ie, seth) were pretty meh in book 1) but the real ship I'm rooting for here is Carter/Jerome. They already act like an old married couple.

message 162: by Sha (new)

Sha | 1522 comments Listening to them argue unsettles you because it's like your parents having a fight Georgie that's what.

message 163: by Sha (new)

Sha | 1522 comments Done! And also CALLED IT.

I want to read more books in this series now they are very light and fun and they legitimately addressed all of my logical issues in the narrative.

I like Carter as a character. He's really NOT how I would envision an angel.

He and Jerome remind me of Good Omens: The Nice and Accurate Prophecies of Agnes Nutter, Witch but also Castiel/Crowley in Supernatural haha.

message 165: by Sha (new)

Sha | 1522 comments I know! I got aziraphale/crowley vibes from them too. Not so much Spn!Crowley and Castillo, but that's probably because I tend to forget all son plots after season 5.

Diana Stormblessed (dashichka) | 5391 comments Sorry for the radio silence. Been on vacation. Coming home tomorrow night but got a small chance to check in. :) I'm only half way. There are a few minor plot discrepancies, and without knowing the ending this book already feels like it's going to be pretty predictable, but it's light and fun and I'm really enjoying it.

Virginie | 6109 comments Some random moment I loved in the book: Georgina thinking that playing Scrabble with Seth is pointless, as is playing Monopoly with Jerome.

I always thought playing Monopoly with my siblings was pointless... My sister (the eldest) is a shark when it comes to business. She would set out to 'eliminate the weakest' (aka me, the youngest) immediately. Going soft on her baby sister (5 years younger) was not an option xD
Now I know. She is, in fact, a demon. That also explains how she's able to eat that much without getting fat.

Lol, well, if you're going to play, play to win.

Diana Stormblessed (dashichka) | 5391 comments I couldn't wait so I finished (hehe, finished) the last chapter during work. It was hot. Also, agree with you. (view spoiler)

Haha, I was reading it at work to begin with but switched books at some point. We do enough dirty jokes in the office without me reading a hot sex scene in addition lol.

Virginie | 6109 comments Diana, Sha, do you want to schedule the next book in June?
I've got only 3 buddy-reads planned for the month so I'll let you girls decide :)

Especially you, Diana.... I know you've got a crazy BR schedule haha!

message 179: by Sha (new)

Sha | 1522 comments June should be fine. :) These are light books so I can fit them in.

Yes, and I found they fit nicely between two 'heavy' reads because they're so fun and light :D

And I just added another 2 books to my June list this morning lol. But this one is light and fun and def not a chore, so it's easy to make room for this series. I'm good with June.

message 183: by Virginie (new)

Virginie | 6109 comments Great! Just let me (us) know when you've got some time for it and we'll start :D

Diana Stormblessed (dashichka) | 5391 comments Probably not till the end of the month if that's ok.

message 185: by Virginie (new)

Virginie | 6109 comments Fine by me. I was thinking you would want to see where you're at with your BRs before deciding on a starting date anyway.
I'll put June 21th in my schedule just so I don't forget ^_^

Perfect. I'll do the same.

Virginie | 6109 comments Oh, something I forgot to tell you girls... When I read about Georgina taking ambrosia and organizing that big event at the bookstore, I immediately thought of Niki solving the 'Folder Mushroom Crisis'.

Now just imagine... Niki, high on ambrosia, messing with the folders and making lists... Are you scared? I was :p

This would be the most organized and best run group in the history of goodreads! Oh, wait. It already is ;-)

message 189: by Virginie (new)

Virginie | 6109 comments Heh, true :p
Maybe she's a goddess and has ambrosia running in her veins!

message 190: by Sha (new)

Sha | 1522 comments Folder mushroom crisis?

message 191: by Virginie (new)

Virginie | 6109 comments Sha wrote: "Folder mushroom crisis?"

Earlier this year, the mods couldn't create any folders for the threads 'cause the group reached the maximum. So Niki went and re-organized everything. She archived some threads, created a folder just for new releases and another for 1st in series, and moved all the threads in the right folder.

message 192: by Sha (new)

Sha | 1522 comments Nice. :D

message 193: by Virginie (new)

Virginie | 6109 comments I started Succubus Dreams last night in an attempt to kick this annoying reading slump to the curb.

So far, so good :)

Diana Stormblessed (dashichka) | 5391 comments I have the book ready to go! I'm hoping to start it on my 13 hour drive tomorrow. That and Wildfire are going to keep me awake as we drive overnight.

message 196: by Virginie (new)

Virginie | 6109 comments Whoa, 13 hours?!?

Diana Stormblessed (dashichka) | 5391 comments Virginie wrote: "Whoa, 13 hours?!?"

Driving to Chicago from New Jersey. We do it a few times a year.

message 198: by Virginie (new)

Virginie | 6109 comments I see. It's going to be a PNR ride then :)
Enjoy!

Diana Stormblessed (dashichka) | 5391 comments Didn't get to start it on the drive. We usually drive through the night but my hubby insisted that it's too hard for him so we drove during the day. So the kids kept talking to me and didn't let me listen. How rude. I'll try to get to it this weekend.

message 200: by Virginie (new)

Virginie | 6109 comments Hahahaha! I was wondering how you were going to listen to PNR with kids in the car ;)
