Age: 20
Profession: Light Warrior

Bio: Aaron was a young knight currently enlisted in the guard. He was quick on his feet, and great with a sword. They made him light infantry. He wore the lightest armor, and had a small light sword. He didn't carry shields, they are big and heavy. He had no use for anything that would slow him down. He was cocky like that. But that's what happens when you come from a rich family.
The sensation of warm water against Risa's skin felt surreal, almost hypnagogic. Dress soaking into the water pooled against the slippery wooden floors, she knelt there, watching the clouded liquid in the bucket beside her with a vacant expression. It wasn't that the warmth was unusual, or even out of place. Ever since she'd started work, in one of the noble families mansions, it had become her daily routine to heat the water before bathing the floors in it. Which Risa figured was a request born purely of luxury, and vanity. She couldn't imagine why else the household would require her to coincide to such a frivolous act.Risa's hair cascaded around her shoulders, spilling down her back. It was heavy, despite the days without proper nourishment she had undergone. Food was scarce amongst the lower class, especially for her family during the growing season. It was because of that she had offered herself into service. Money didn't sprout from empty pockets.
That thought jolted Risa back into movement; she dipped the rag clutched in her palm back into the bucket, resuming her scrub of the spacious hall with a grim determination.
Aaron did a quick run through of the house before he left for the guard every morning, so it was of no surprise to him when he stumbled upon the families house maid. Risa. "Good Morning Risa." He said walking right over where she was scrubbing, and out of the house. He stepped into the street, already wearing his light metal gear. His sword strapped to his side, and his helmet under his arm.
Risa glanced up as one of the guards, Aaron, passed her on his way out of the hall. She was startled to hear her name, it sounded eerily alien and strange against his lips, but it was hers. Risa was surprised he even knew it. Scrambling somewhat, she straightened herself and nodded in respect as he passed, keeping silent as she was due. It was an honor to even be addressed. ((Oh no!!! Not at all, that was wonderful! You really are a great RPer, I'm super happy!! No, just clarifying in case I got it wrong. xD))
Aaron put on his helmet and began walking towards the keep in the middle of the rather small village. "Wonder what will happen today..." He spoke out to himself. Thinking of all the events of the previous day. A man claimed a Witch placed a spell on one of his chickens, because once he cut off its head, it continued to run around. "Preposterous" He said under his breath. "I'm surrounded by morons..."
Later, when Risa had finished the halls and washed the remaining linens she found herself lingering beside the small washbasin in the maids common room. Looking at her features in the mirror, she couldn't help but notice how exhausted she looked physically. Underneath the captivating green hues of her eyes, hung dark puffy circles. This was only emphasized by her porcelain skin, made paler by the dim light of the room.Grabbing a towel, she made her way over to the thin mats on the ground where the maids slept. Most had already gone to bed at this point.
Aaron pulled his helmet off and sighed after a long day at work. "At least there wasn't any claims of magic..." He said looking around. The streets were unusually empty. "Strange..." He strolled at a slow pace towards his home, hoping he would see some sign of life. Nothing. Once Aaron got to his front door, he saw a shadow emerge from an ally close by. "You there! Come here!" He shouted taking a few steps towards the shadow. It didn't move. Aaron drew his blade and put his helmet down in front of his house. "Last warning." He said sternly. The shadow only turned its head, and release a low rumble as a reply. Aaron get within swords reach and realized, that thing wasn't human. Or at least, not anymore. The weird fleshy creature lunged at him, and he swung his blade with blinding speed. Blood splattered onto his face, and he stumbled back. The body fell limp into 2 large pieces. Torso, and legs. "What the hell was that?" He asked taking a few steps back. He sheathed his blade and grabbed his helmet, quickly running into his home and bolting the main door shut. "Maids! Get up here!" He shouted out, moving towards the living room.
(( That is about my normal posts. So that will be about as large as I will go. I had to put some action in this! haha ))
((Perfect, that's my usual lengths well!))For some unexplainable reason, Risa had been unable to fall asleep. When she heard the frantic shout emanating from the upper floors, it was her who jumped upright in the darkness. Tossing the blankets aside, she stumbled out of bed, very conscious of the thin material of the gown which clung to her. Pushing the thought aside, she roused the other maids with a sharp cry of alarm, then made her way to the stairs after them. They appeared on the landing above, the oldest of the lot squinting in the lamp light. "Who called?" Her aged voice shouted, fear in her words. It was clear she thought there was a raid going on, or a fire.
Aaron rushed to the maids quarters and began rushing them upstairs. "Hurry up maids, There is something terrible upon us!" He said frantically. "I killed a man. But, he wasn't a man." He started to explaining to any of the maids that were close enough to hear. "He looked sick, he flesh was starting to rot and fall off. Then, he tried to bite me. So I sliced him in two." He stated looking around nervously. "To prevent this from spreading, I am demanding you all go to my chambers, and take proper baths." He said leading them up to his private room. The room was large, with a huge bed placed against the back wall directly in the middle. Red silk blankets and pillows placed beautifully about. To the right, was a large bathroom with a beautiful bathtub. "Begin stripping and bathing now!" He shouted more nervously then in anger.
The old woman gaped at him, "right now?" The other maids grabbed wash clothes and started scrubbing their arms.Trying to collect herself, Risa broke all protocol and spoke out of line. "Do you really think such a sickness could be cured by a mere sponge and water? If such a sickness actually exists," she added sceptically. He was either mad, or crazy. There was no way such a thing was real, this was a ruse typical of the boys his age.
Risa wasn't amused, her expression plainly written.
Aaron looked at the maid. "No... I lied. I cut open a pig and smeared its blood on my face as decor! I just wanted to see my maid staff naked in my quarters!" He said moving closer to Risa. "Need I show you the corpse?!" He said now only inches from the young girls face. "Or will you listen to your master, and bathe!?"
"Actually, I'd love to see that corpse." Rise retorted, her cheeks flushing scarlet. Because that was, of course, what she assumed his intentions were. "How do I know you're not just a greeny, scared to madness by his first sight of blood?"
Aaron growled at the young maid. He then pulled his sword and slowly dragged it across his hand. blood dripping from his hand, the droplets rapidly hitting the hardwood floor at her feet. "You think blood gets to me?!" He screamed. He grabbed her by her hair and drug her downstairs. "Lets go then!" He said reaching the front door. He unbolted the door, only to see 3 more shadowy figures knelt down over the corpse.
(( BTW, I grabbed you with the bloody hand, and my sword was never sheathed. making sure you caught those things. :) ))
Risa gritted her teeth, squirming in his grasp as she tried to pry his fingers from her. "Let go of me!" She growled, the blood from his hands dripping down her face. She stumbled on the landing, the dark hair in his fist tightening as she was yanked upwards by it. Her thoughts became frantic, the need to defend herself from him taking over her completely. "Let go!" She shrieked again, hoping that someone would hear her cry through the quivering night.
"Look!" He yelled at her, as he pushed her out the door, releasing her hair. "Look at those people! Eating another!" He said frantically. "Do you think this is some sexual ruse now?!" He asked getting back into her face. "This isn't a game! Go bathe, I don't need you sick too!" He said now seeming more worried than angry.
((Oh, thank you as well! That's very helpful!))Risa took in the scene before her, abject horror flooding through her. What was this? She could hardly believe what was happening before her eyes, yet it was there. They were more like creatures than human, their gaping maws ripping through a limb taken from the scraps bellow. She slid against the wall, her back pressing against the wood. Risa didn't understand, how could she?
Then one of the creatures heads rotated towards them, it's eyes bloodshot and leaking a pussy yellow fluid. Holes matted it's face, strands of flesh trembling in the wind. Risa couldn't move, she couldn't breathe. Their eyes locked, and something passed between them. Something basic, and inhuman. They were the prey here, and those the predators.
Aaron sheathed his sword and grabbed her by the arms. He forced her to her feet, and through the door. "Go be with the other maids. Please... Just bathe yourself so you don't become like them..." He said shutting the door and bolt locking it place. He then ran to the dining room, and grabbed a chair, placing it under the doorknob as a brace. "That should hold.."
In a daze, Risa made her way back to the other maids. Her motions were practiced, and unaware. Her mind experiencing varying degrees of shock. Hair wet, she moved away from the door, still entranced within the stupor. Her heart hammering sluggishly, it took her a moment to realize that the other maids were now all finished and speaking to her in frantic whispers. "Y-yes, it was real. Or else I wouldn't be here." She replied to ones question, trying to pull herself out of the haze which was clouding her mind. She reached up and ran her fingers through her hair, pushing back the thick bangs from her face. Her fingers trembled as she did so.
Once Aaron was done with the door, he ran up the stairs up to his bedroom. "Alright, I think we can all believe that I'm not playing around. Right?" He asked generally. Not really needing an answer. "Will someone please help her clean up?" He asked pointing towards Risa. He then walked over to his bed and sat down. Putting his head in his hands, he took a deep breath. "What the hell do we do?"
Grabbing a wet towel, Risa strode through the whimpering maids and approached Aaron. Slowly, she knelt in front of him, taking his wrist and pulling it towards her. Risa began to clean his self inflicted cut, lips pursed slightly. The haze was still there, causing her motions to animate in a slightly unfocused manner. Luckily, she wasn't stitching him up, so it didn't really matter. "We need to figure out how to get them out of here," she whispered, motioning towards the maids. "-and then alert the city about-" Her voice wavered, the words collapsing in on themselves. She cleared her throat, and didn't press on; instead reaching down and ripping a strip from her hem, which she used to wrap around the wound. For once she was grateful for the thin gown.
"Oh? And what about you? Fair Nobel maid? Why should I save them and not you?" He asked, watching her dress his wound. "You know, most maids would never touch their master without permission. Never the less speak out without being spoken to first. What is keeping me from beating you? as is my right."
"I'm new," Risa smirked simply in response, a burst of adrenaline running through her and awakening her mind from it's haze. The fresh bubble of memories evoked by his words flooded through her, sending a shrill tremor through her bones. She was no stranger to the fist of a man. After a while, you became accustomed to it. "You saving me hadn't even crossed my mind." She replied, pushing his wrist back against him. "Depending on how fast that virus spreads, you'd be the first one to succumb to it." She looked at his wrist as though to say, It's the least I can do. Before you're off to your maker.
He gritted his teeth, wanting to bring his hand down upon her cheek. But he was smarter than that. She was used to it, or begging for it. Either way, he wasn't going to succumb to her smart ass attitude. "Risa, Bathroom. Now." He said standing up and staring at her with a vicious intent.
Risa looked up at him, cocking an eyebrow. "Is that particularly important at this moment? In fact, I think you need to clean up more than I do." She eyed the gore splattered across his front, and slathered across his arms. The adrenaline continued pumping through her, weaving its way into her arms. She could feel it pulsing gently against her side, a reminder of life. She was alive.
((Internet might go out soon, thought I'd let you know so you know where I went when I dissapear! xD))
"Then we shall bathe together. But you aren't going to disobey me!" He said getting in her face. "Move, before I make you move." He said in a low growl. He didn't want to hurt her, but something about her just infuriated him.
"Until you bend on one knee and take out your vows, I will do no such thing!" Risa retorted blatantly, her temper boiling up at the mere suggestion. Aaron clearly had no idea how much a move like that, aside from being horrifying, would ruin both their lives. Especially Risa's. Asserting her dignity, she got to her feet to face him on more level ground--when suddenly, the sound of shattering glass echoed from blow them, accompanied by an eerie moaning which sent the gaggle of maids into a panic.
"The plague is upon us ladies. It's time to defend yourselves, or be taken alive. It's your choice!" He shouted backing away from Risa. He never broke eye contact with her though. As if trying to say 'This isn't over.' Aaron pulled his sword and walked over to the door of his room. He slammed it shut and got into a typical knights stance a few feet behind it. "I have weapons under the bed, and in my closet. Grab what you will. Just make sure that if any of you try to strike me down today, you will be dead before morning." He said swallowing hard, waiting for the monsters to get to his bedroom door.
There were about seven of them total, including Aaron and herself Risa figured quickly. Though experienced in combat, she knew the rest of the maids wouldn't have been. Glaring over at Aaron, she came to the conclusion that to fight would mean watching the deaths of every person in the room. Stalking towards Aaron's room, she hung back from the maids as they feebly armed themselves, some unable to even lift the heavy weapons. Dashing to the window, Risa looked down at the dark courtyard bellow, catching sight of moving figures within the darkness. It was impossible to count how many were out there from Aaron's window. Was there no other way of escape? She glanced around the room, unconsciously biting her lower lip. They'd fight then, or die trying.
