Aaron rolled his eyes and turned around. "Listen farm boy. I don't want anyone following along with us. But your sister disagrees. She wants the whole village along for this ball of hell. I'm not protecting any of you. If you get bit, I will cut you down like a wounded animal. So, Follow if you will." He said throwing the front door open, and walking down the dirt path that lead to the cottage.
(( After looking that up on google, I'm apparently retarded when it comes to spelling. LOL. That's embarrassing. ))((I'm going to have to figure out how to respond to that... Give me a few minutes.))
(( Oh no, I can work with it, lol. Just got to formulate this in my brain xD Though, at this point I see them of being more along the lines of arch enemies, then anywhere near romantic. Should I tone her independence down a bit? I can have something humbling come up, take that down. Or is it fine how it is? ))
(( I think it's fine, because I was actually planning on making a move on her ;) ))
(( Okay good, I was worried it was to much. My characters all seem to have attitude, lol. I plan on bringing in another character down the road, maybe female? Make it a little more competition for Risa? And thinking of having Illian leave for now, then reemerge later. Thoughts? ))

(( Straight female too, so that's awesome. No problems there! Alrightly, here I go then. )) "Wow, picked up a fine one there Rae." Illian purred silkily, losing all pretenses. He leaned against the door frame, watching Aaron's retreating back. "So, what will it be?" he queried her, "I've seen the plague already, you won't last three minutes. Despite the training I gave you, you'll break underneath the storm faster than I could even say your name." His gaze penetrated her, his eyes that of a reptile. "He's a jerk, I'm your brother. Which will be be little bird?"
Rise was tempted to hit him. Hit him as hard as she could, taking out all her rage on that smug face. Only she didn't. She didn't because she never had, and never would. She couldn't, despite the strength she'd gained over the years away from him. Mostly, she knew that if she were to stay with him, she would become that frightened little girl again. The one afraid to speak, the one afraid to think outside of herself. Her hesitation proved that."
Risa brushed past him, walking out into the yard and after Aaron.
Aaron heard the slight patter of feet behind him. He looked over his shoulder and noticed Risa following along quickly, trying to catch up to him. He slowed to a stop and completely turned around, waiting for her. He then looked over the top of her head, and noticed the hurt look plastered on her brothers face. "Another day, Another Enemy." He said shaking his head slightly, also releasing a deep sigh. "So what did you say to get him to look that stupid?" He asked as she got closer to him.
"I thought you'd be best friends at this point," Risa replied, avoiding the question and cocking an eyebrow in his direction. Illian wasn't withdrawn in his flattery of Aaron, in the same way Risa was. Though it may have been all lip service, it was a good front. She hefted her pack, glad to be moving away from the place. She prayed the rest of them would be alright.
"So, Are you gonna gather all the people here or not?" He asked walking next to her. He was done arguing and resisting the group. He knew what he had to do to survive, and to keep Risa alive. "I'll fight for you. Not them though." He said reminding her for the 3rd time.
Risa looked at him with a strange expression. For her, but not them? That was a strange thought. "No, they'll be fine. Two people aren't going to make any difference in weather they live or die, Illian will alert them and they can make their way out of here together. If this were my life still, I would go with them. It's not though." She finished pointedly.
Aaron nodded and opened the gate for Risa to exit through. "After you then. I don't know where to go from here. Assuming our land is where this started, any direction would be a good idea. But if it has broken out else where... We may not be safe anywhere." He said with a touch of fear in his solid voice.
Risa nodded glancing to the left. "If we travel down into the valley, there will be a river down there. We can replenish our water skins on the way," she mused allowed, taking a side path towards the mountains.
"Fine. Sounds grand." He said waving his hand slightly, as if to say 'after you'. "After we reach this river, where shall we stay?" He asked now following hot on her heels, as apposed to beside her.
(( Just wanting to make sure you saw that I replied. ))
((Yeah, sorry. I couldn't rp untill the weekend, I had work. I have to go do my neighbors cats, so Ill reply properly when I get back.))
((Oh, just to let you know I'm going out with friends later--so I'll be absent again then.))Risa noticed his trailing behind her, and said nothing of it. "Well, I assume you'll pick somewhere to sleep and so will I. In the valley there's always alcoves, and such. It won't be hard."
"That's not what I meant. I meant, where do we go from there? Where can we stay that is actually safe enough, to stay." He said trying to explain a bit better.
Risa's brow furrowed in thought. "I have an old friend, to the north. He lives up in the mountains, we should be safe there." Her dress brushed the ground as the ground became less level.
((Okay, you want to throw in the next twist, or should I?))

Aaron's brows furrowed and he sighed. "How far to the north?" He asked, noticing the stoop of the hill. He took a few seconds to admire her body under the dress, or what he imagined it would look like. He shook his head slightly and refocused on the answer he was waiting for.
((It's fine, Ill do the same because of work. xD))
"So, tell me your story. What was your family like?" Risa asked.
