Muhammad Turzo Zahid (turzozahid) | 7 comments Two things I want to know. First, after adding an edition of existing books, why I've to do separate and then combine every time to show the new added edition to the old edition? And the second thing is, If the original edition language is Bengali, so the publisher's name also should put in Bengali. But, when I add an English edition of the same book, but, the name of the publisher is in Bengali, do I have to put it in English, or the original language (Bengali) is fine?

Renske | 12220 comments Where are those new editions not showing? Some parts of the site have a heavy cache, such as the small covers at the 'other editions' on a book page. (If you click on 'other editions' you get the list with all editions, there should be the new edition)

Details such as publisher name should as it is use don that specific edition, so the Bengali edition has the Bengali publisher and the English edition the English publisher.

When I open newly added edition, old edition is shown in "Other Editions" section normally. But, when I click on the old edition, I can't see the new edition in "Other Editions" section. Although it can be found when I click on "All Editions". In this situation, if I separate two editions and re-combine them, then I can see the newer added edition on the old edition and vise-versa.

I'm not clear about the publisher's name. Let me give you an example. In Bengali edition of a book the publisher's name is "অন্যপ্রকাশ" and it's spelled in English, "AnyaProkash". And the English edition also published by the same publishers "AnyaProkash". Then should I put "AnyaProkash" in the English edition of this book? Or, It should be the same as the original language of the name of the publishers and original editions, "অন্যপ্রকাশ".

Simply copy the Bengali font to say anything about it.

That is the part with the heavy cache. In 1 or 2 days it will show there. The fact the edition is in the 'all editions' list means it is combined correctly, only the 'other editions' part needs some time to update.

Thank you. Now I'm clear. Could you please tell me about the second part of my last reply?
