Nina | 18 comments Introduce yourself to the group.
What is your current library role? What technologies do you use in your job? What do you hope to get out of this book club?

Amy (puzumaki) | 45 comments My name is Amy, I am the User Interface Developer for the University of Minnesota Libraries. I focus on human computer interactions, specifically usability, accessibility, and optimization.

My goal is always to find inspiration and understanding in how technology and people intersect over information, and continuous improvement of my skills based on that knowledge.

Amy (puzumaki) | 45 comments Ha ha, I often forget to mention that I have the MLIS (my IT roles have almost always had "Librarian" in the official title). Thanks. ;-)

Nina | 18 comments Hello, I'm Nina. I work as part of the cataloging team at the Mid-Hudson Library System.

I'm always looking for new ways to use technology to help make our work more accurate and efficient. One of my favorite things to do is figure out how to automate certain tasks so that we're left with more time to work on things that really do deserve a human touch.

I'm looking forward to hearing thoughts from other library folks - I think that collaboration, especially with people who are working in environments different from my own, will broaden my perspective and help me grow as a librarian.
