SOLVED. YA/Fantasy-ish, Book set in tarot card game. [s]

I read this book sometime before 2016, and to my recollection it has a red/white/black cover, very distinctive because that's what made me pick it up and read it.

I feel like the book was called "the game" or something....

Main character was a girl. Pretty sure her name was Kat (some variation of it? Katarina? Katherine?). She lived in a city. There are tarot cards, and the characters would play a game with them? Like the cards were characters. People would take up the personalities of the cards. The fool was a major character in this. There was a guy that taught her the rules. SOMETHING ABOUT MAJOR ARCANA.

It was part of a series, and I remembered it suddenly because I had wanted to continue reading it! But it's so hard to find this book! Every time I look up "books about tarot card game" etc it just shows up with instructional books on how to use tarot cards.
