I'm in. I have it my schedule for the 27th. But if anyone has a different date they want to use, I'll just scramble things around in my schedule. Just let me know!
The 27th is the one day I can't start. That's my one-year anniversary visit where I'm having day-long tests and outpatient surgery. Sorry! I can start on ANY other date! lol 🤣

I’m ready, Fabi! I’ve finally got my reading mojo back. I’m just finishing up Uncharted (the plane crash book). I had to put it aside while I edited and almost forgot about it. I’ll finish it tonight.
Me too Nay. Me too. It feels great to be back in the saddle. It doesn't hurt that this year has kicked off with some great reads for me. Already so much better than last year.Alrighty, sounds like I should go ahead and get started on this baby. Probably tonight or maybe tomorrow at the latest.
I'm not worried about Kooloo. She'll read the book 3 times before I'm done with chapter 1. ;-)
Might just watch the thread, not sure that I will like this book.

Is anyone reading? I just got home from the dr., so I'm finally starting.
So i just started and it sounding like anonther that i read a while back....sooooooo then i left Marvin (eBook reader i use) and looked it up on my iBooks libray which i no longer use because it is stupid slow with all the books on it! and I found it there and it says I read it in 2016
I don't care though I need to escape my reality for a bit.... just got bad news about my car that is still in the shop - since Dec 15th - (air bag still on B/O) and my rental insurance is done in 3 days!

I read a little over half of Playing with Monsters a year ago and then decided that I wanted to catch up on the Fae Chronicles series first. But since it's been a year, I'm starting from the beginning.

I tried to re-read this but I did just two months ago. It's too soon for me. :( But I'll be watching this with glee.
So am I the only one who hasn't read this? I'm at 60%, and while the story is okaaaay, the repetition is driving me crazy.
For example: "I looked at his lips and then he kissed my lips until my lips hurt."
Ok, so I made that up, but that's what I feel like I'm reading on almost every page!
I'm ready for some angst! When does the angst start??

I'm really sorry guys but I'm stumbling over the writing. It comes across as immature for me. I also had a hard time with that initial opening 'sort of rape' scene.
I've picked it up and put it down half a dozen times. I just don't know if I can finish this one.
I'm so sorry. I know it's a HUGE favorite and I feel really bad that I can't love it as much as everyone else does. :-(

Finished! 3 Stars for me. If it had been properly edited for content and flow, I would have given it at least 4, maybe more.And I was really put off by the "Warning" in the front that there would probably be mistakes in the book because 'the author is human as you are as well'.
For me, that's so 2013, and not what I'd expect from an author's 7th or 8th book that she's charging $4.99 for. (I wanted to put this in my review, but I didn't want to sound snotty.)
But if I had been able to block that stuff out, I can definitely see where I would have loved it. It was super sexy and I also loved Lucian!
