He used to post in our group.
I proofread for him for a short while - until he didn't like me not liking one of his books.
I've read three of 'his' books!
Yeuck. And if you read the Amazon page for his "murder in the first", you'll see that it is has three 1 star reviews (from people complaining about the plagiarism) and one five star review.The single five star review is from someone who only ever seems to give five star reviews, but seems to be able to give several five star reviews in a single day.
I smell a rat. A very big rat.
He appears to have published books at an extraordinary rate - and that's just under the Karl Jones name. I suspect that a lot of unpleasant things are going to emerge from under this particular stone.
Do be sure to take advantage of the look inside feature to check he's not stolen your's.He's a member in a couple of groups but no longer in ours.
Think they should be warned?
One of them is a crime, thriller and mystery group. Seems to be his target books.
A lot of books to check through. I can't believe Amazon don't have some kind of check in place

I've deleted all my reviews of his books and also deleted the few books I had of his (for free)I've looked at the one or two books that were plagiarised and it's amazing that he hasn't changed the first bit of the look inside at least.
As for the other stuff beginning with a P, at least he admitted it even though he could hardly have done it any later.

See, I made the mistake of spending years sitting in front of a keyboard typing away and wracking my brains for ideas. I never realised there was an easier way.

Well I don't think he's nicked nothing of mine under his own name but then I cannot imagine it's worth your while doing that with fantasy :-(

I just googled him and enough info popped up to tell me I dont want to read a book by him, even if it was all his own work

Michael, I'm not happy with the bit you've edited into your post. This is an under 18s inclusive forum and I would have hoped that you or a mod would have removed it. It adds nothing to the discussion.
I guest-posted on this guy's blog a year or so ago. He was a regular then on one of the amazon.com forums I frequent and came across as a nice bloke. Really, he's a complete scumbag. He was recently done for possessing images of child pornography. When he was sentenced, the court didn't know he was already under investigation in another part of the country for offences of sexual assault on a minor. He recently pleaded guilty to at least one of those charges. His victim was four at the time.
These allegations of plagiarism, serious though they are, seem like small potatoes in comparison.

It appears kboards has been overwhelmed by people checking up.
This has been reported on facebook as well. Everyone there is also livid. Rightly so. I'd guess Amazon won't always do anything until someone reports it. Like the actual owners of the books.

No. It is still there but as you copy the link down through 'replies' it gets chopped about. Use the link at the top of the thread.
I would suggest we proceed with caution as the original link doesn't really substantiate the claims but it was followed by third party rage. I for one would like to see some of the original books to judge for myself before getting in to a froth.

This bloke seems to manage to write, edit and publish a book roughly every four days. It takes me a month just to edit!
Pete - and his five star reviewer manages to read and review up to three books in a single day.That's quite a production line!
