Solved. Lazy Tommy Pumpkinhead by Wiiliam Pene du Bois. Thank you. Read this book early 70s. Picture book. Boy lives in a house, no parents, that is robotic, gets him up, bathes him, dresses him, feeds him breakfast, etc. The power goes out and the house is inactive for a week and the boy sleeps the entire time. When the power returns the boy is dumped into a cold tub, dressed in 7 pairs of clothes and then has 7 cold breakfasts shoved at him. He is completely out of sorts and goes back to bed.
