For me it was when when he was looking at the wound the worm left behind and then called it a wormhole. And boom, paradigm shift for me.

Absolutely. The Hempstocks. Shifts occurred to me throughout the book, though, and I thoroughly enjoyed all of them. I wish I had the Hempstocks down the street.
