Melanie Stryder refuses to fade away. The earth has been invaded by a species that take over the minds of human hosts while leaving their bodies intact. Wanderer, the invading "soul" who has been given Melanie's body, didn't expect to find its former tenant refusing to relinquish possession of her mind.

As Melanie fills Wanderer's thoughts with visions of Jared, a human who still lives in hiding, Wanderer begins to yearn for a man she's never met. Reluctant allies, Wanderer and Melanie set off to search for the man they both love.

message 6: by Emma (new)

Emma Jane (emmajanecatchpole) I've read all the twilight books and loved them. Was totally uninterested in reading this book until I saw the movie a few years ago and loved it! Can't wait to finally read this :)

Sarah (sarahsshelfcare) I've been wanting to reread this for a while and was so excited to see this GBR. I loved it the first time round but have forgotten a lot of what happened

Anjali S | 42 comments yeah .....I haven't read her books since last year

message 9: by Cate (new)

Cate | 3 comments An amazing story, read the book and watched the movie. I'm amazed how most of the book was mostly her in the mountain hideout but the author still manages to keep it interesting. Although way too long, not a book, i'd read twice.

Priestess Riel Valdez (earlriel) | 7 comments It is my cousin who recommended me to read this book, said it was awesome. It turns out he's wrong this book is beyond awesome that no words can define.
I mean the emotions are real in this book I can feel it too much in my heart, it'a beautiful, especially love. It was so true and pure I almost weep.
I've read this before reading Twilight.
I hope Stephenie Meyer release the next book soon, I've been waiting in ages.

message 11: by Liv (new)

Liv I've read this book almost as soon as it was released. I liked it a lot. :D :)
I also like her latest book "the chemist" -It's a different genre but worth reading; it kept me on the edge almost the entire book.

message 12: by Anna (new)

Anna I've read this books years ago and I even re read it , that proves how much I liked it.
I loved the characters and how the story was build. It was different from twilight and more deep. I hope we would have a second book even if it's not really necessary.

Yes, it's definitely better! The story and the characters were more profound. I love Twilight but, to be honest, it isn't a literary masterpiece lol, it's juste that Mayer have a good and a funny way to tell her story and to present the characters :)

Shay (shayreader) | 43 comments So, has anyone started?

message 16: by Tee (new)

Tee | 47 comments I'm half way through (started earlier for another book challenge) and liking it so far (asides from it being extremely slow paced). :)

Have you read it before? It is slow. I feel like it's a slow-paced book, but it works somehow.
