Kathleen | 14 comments I thought I'd put up a quick summary of the Sunday facebook discussion.

Overall, everyone if finding this book interesting. This section really shifted from animals to humans and people liked that change.

There's been some question as to the definition of cannibalism. When is eating your own species a byproduct of killing for other reasons?

Several of us took issue with Dr. Aren's views that cannibalism doesn't happen because no one has ever seen it.

Danielle especially appreciated the "HOT TAKE" on Christopher Columbus.

Lannie | 2 comments Looking back I found I enjoyed most of the animal cannibal discussion more than the chapters on dinosaurs and neanderthals. This might be due to the greater amount of speculation compared to hard facts, or perhaps it reflects on the authors history as a biologist.
My interest has been repiqued in later chapters but a part of me misses all the strange bug cannibalism.
