Marina | 1312 comments I found an epistolary I think I'll be able to finish today: Lady Susan.
Last night I started Prædikanten which can count towards mystery.

I've updated the list. We're more than halfway through the shelves.
If you want to searches for books for the shelves we don't have anything planned for here's what we're missing:
Did-Not-Finish
TBR
To-Buy
Wishlist
1-Star
2-Stars
Favorite
Hated
Cyber-Punk
Fiction
Historical
Western
Borrowed
Kindle
Library
Antarctica
China
Malaysia
Thailand
United-Kingdom
2016
2017

There are some difficult ones left but also some which should be easy finding books for!

Happy reading 😊

Helen (helenlizm) | 39 comments I'm going to finish Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix - can fit either fiction/kindle/2016/2017 shelf.

message 153: by Rachelnyc (new)

Rachelnyc | 943 comments I finished Maybe in Another Life and started The Vacationers last night. It's a little over 200 pages so I should be fine finishing it by the time the challenge ends.

Go Team Pink!

message 154: by Hilde (new)

Hilde (hilded) | 821 comments I'm in aw about how much you all are able to read in a week!! Great work, Team Pink :)

I have 3,5 hours left on my audiobook (Land ingen har sett), and are planning on finishing it tomorrow while cleaning the apartment. I'm on CET time, so the read-a-thon will end in the afternoon for me. I have also pulled out the kleenex already for The Hate U Give, and should be able to finish that one in time as well.

Happy reading, I am off to a wine tasting soon 😋🥂

message 155: by Marina (new)

Marina | 1312 comments I just finished Lady Susan. I read it in English but it was a quick read because of the way it's written.

Hilde, I've only been able to read a lot because I was off work the whole week and we haven't done much!
Wine tasting sounds great, I love that. Enjoy 🍷🍾

message 156: by Katie (last edited Feb 03, 2018 08:10AM) (new)

Katie | 2360 comments I just finished Inferior. I'm planning to start The Checklist Manifesto: How to Get Things Right since it's short. I just have to make sure it fits into the shelves we have left.

UPDATE: It fits kindle, library, 2016 & 2017 of the shelves that are left.

message 157: by Jennifer (new)

Jennifer Barstad (maidenoflight) Finished One Hundred Years of Solitudeso that one can be checked off. Hoping to finish my other book before i go to work tonight.

Laura | 3780 comments Mod
I finished Never Never: Part Two so that can be checked off the list.

I'm going to start The Ocean at the End of the Lane. I'll at it to the spreadsheet now.

message 159: by Katie (new)

Katie | 2360 comments I finished The Checklist Manifesto, and that's going to be it for me. I'm a little burned out on the serious concentration on reading this week, but I was able to finish 7 books, when my average is 3 a week. That was exciting. I did focus on finding short books to check off more shelves though.

message 160: by Marina (new)

Marina | 1312 comments I know what you mean, Katie. I hope to finish my last book tomorrow, luckily it's an easy crime novel but after that I also need a break.

I'm on my phone on the way to bed so I'll update the list tomorrow but it looks like we'll finish at least 50 shelves. I think that's pretty good teamwork 😊

message 161: by Rachelnyc (new)

Rachelnyc | 943 comments Glad I'm not the only one about to hit a wall. I chose a breezy beach read for my last book so I shouldn't have a problem finishing it before the challenge ends but I definitely need a reading break after that.

Well done team!

message 162: by Amanda (new)

Amanda I'm half way through the Dickinson poems. I'm going to try and finish it tomorrow. But like everyone else, I'm fighting burnout.

message 163: by Helen (new)

Helen (helenlizm) | 39 comments I've finished Order of the Phoenix so that's me done. I have a kids party this afternoon so no chance of me getting through another book in time.
I've thoroughly enjoyed this last week and think we've all done an extraordinary job to read as much as we have. Go Team Pink!!

Final stretch, team!!! I know we're all feeling a little burn out.

I'm definitely still going to finish Ocean at the End of the Lane. I was hoping to get to Never Never: Part Three but I got a little distracted by my bullet journal last night.

message 165: by Heather (new)

Heather | 236 comments I’m finishing the last 100 pages of Under The Lights and Side Effects May Vary now

message 166: by Marina (new)

Marina | 1312 comments Go team pink!

I've just finished my last book. I don't think I have time to find and read another even though it's a short book!
I'm going to keep an eye out for your updates so we can have a finally list later today 😊

message 167: by Heather (new)

Heather | 236 comments Do you know where Under The Lights will fit?

message 168: by Marina (new)

Marina | 1312 comments Heather wrote: "Do you know where Under The Lights will fit?"

It fits several of the leftovers shelves so we can put it down as library

message 169: by Heather (new)

Heather | 236 comments Sounds great!

message 170: by Rachelnyc (new)

Rachelnyc | 943 comments Finished The Vacationers and whew, I need a break!

Great work everyone and it's been a pleasure reading with you all!

message 171: by Hilde (new)

Hilde (hilded) | 821 comments Just finished my audio Land ingen har sett and The Hate U Give, so that's a wrap up for me!

I have had lots of fun reading with you all this week, and definitely gone through more books in a week than I normally do. Great work, Team Pink :-)

message 172: by Hilde (new)

Hilde (hilded) | 821 comments Also, a big thanks to our excellent team leader, Marina, for keeping track of all our books!

I finished The Ocean at the End of the Lane just in time!

I'm starting another book today but I think I'm going to get some journaling and errands done. It's been a great week an I really got a jump on the challenge.

Great job, Marina!

message 174: by Zaz (new)

Zaz | 2969 comments Busy weekend on my side, so I read less than what I expected. No way to finish my cover-love, sorry!

Good work everyone, it's impressive to see how many shelves we completed :)
Thanks Marina for the work!

message 175: by Marina (new)

Marina | 1312 comments Thanks guys! It's been like solving a giant jigsaw puzzle but I love a good puzzle so it's been lots of fun working with you guys!
I'll post the final list when everybody has checked in with their final update.

message 176: by Joan (new)

Joan Barnett | 1972 comments I only got to read half of The Girl with All the Gifts. the week was a little busier than expected. I need to put in a request for one of the read-a-thons to not straddle the end and beginning of the month. It's the busiest time for us corporate accountants.

I had fun trying though. I finished 2 books and got halfway through a 400 page book so all in all it could have been worse.

Thanks for your hard work Marina!

message 177: by Heather (new)

Heather | 236 comments I didn’t quite get back home in time to finish the book

message 178: by Amanda (new)

Amanda Despite my children's best efforts to distract me, I managed to finish the poems just under the deadline. This was great fun. Good work everyone!

message 179: by MKay (new)

MKay | 55 comments For some reason, I thought we ended at midnight. Oh well. I should have taken my book to the pasture to put out hay yesterday, then I would have finished it. Got one in at least.

message 180: by Jennifer (new)

Jennifer Barstad (maidenoflight) Unfurtunately i couldn't finish my last book in time. At the hospital with a sick kid and reading was the last thing on my mind.

On the positive side, great work team! We really got a lot of those shelves filled. Can't wait until the next read a thon.

message 182: by Rachelnyc (new)

Rachelnyc | 943 comments Whichever place we end up, a great effort by all with a big thanks to Marina for the hard work of keeping track of and re-shuffling all those shelves.

The rest of my day is watching the Puppy Bowl and maybe some of the actual Super Bowl.

message 183: by Katie (new)

Katie | 2360 comments Thanks Marina. Great work team. I can't believe we read 55 books!
