I finished the first Archie and Gretchen book and really liked it. I don't know why I've waited so long to get back to this series.

Z,
I had to read it as it was my FWYS series, and OMG, it was I disappointing as I listened to

I'll probably have finished Wicked Witches of the Midwest before the month is out -- I only have two books left. Two new series to add for March's pick, then!

Yep, this was a fun series and it has a good twist on the "love triangle" gambit -- necessary, because those can be SO tiresome!

YESSSSS. I loved Chelsie and Frederick and that whole story behind Fclan. I love love loved it.
I will preorder the audio as well. I don't think I've loved a UF series like this in a while.
We can do a BR of the new release when it's out.

@ Ezi
One never knows for sure with young authors. Sometimes as the series progresses they find their stride. I'm sorry for you that this wasn't the case with Red queen.
Speaking of a series improving after a meh book 1, Adrien English mysteries by Josh Lanyon are just getting better and better. After the really weird and disturbing end of book 1, I was prepared to abandon the series if the book 2 isn't really good. And surprise, surprise it was fine, not stellar but enjoyable and book 3 is even better.
Josh Lanyon didn’t have enough romance in book 1 for me. I meant to read book 2 but never got around to it

Zuzana wrote: "Ezi, there is much more relationship stuff in book 2 but do not expect a happy fluffy romance. The mystery part is a bit wonky (as usual in MM books) but the relationship between Adrien and Jake is..."
Maybe. I’m into super angst now. Books like

Both were amazing. You learn a lot about characters that have been involved in the overall story but more as background than the main. And the author didn't fumble their stories at all.
*Love this challenge. I'm getting caught up a lot on what I need to.
