I think I inadvertently built a snowman instead 😂

Valerie (nicehotcupoftea) | 834 comments I achieved a half-scarecrow with a gender and a head, and enjoyed both books, particularly the one by the Australian author, who has sadly died.

Female - Read a book by a female author
Still Life by Louise Penny 4★

2. Head/Face
Read a book with just a head/face on cover (not the rest of the body)
My Beautiful Enemy by Cory Taylor AA 4★

3. Arms & Legs
Read a book with arms and legs visible on the cover (at least 1 arm and 1 leg must be visible to count)
Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children by Ransom Riggs

4. Body
Read a book over 300 pages
Juste avant le bonheur by Agnès Ledig (343 pages)

That's great - half a scarecrow will get those pesky birds upset :)

message 212: by Sue (new)

Sue | 62 comments I did not succeed in completing by Feb 28, but I was able to finish it a few days late. My scarecrow did have to undergo a gender change from female to male in order for me to finish. I also swapped out one other book from my original plan.

February - Build a Scarecrow
Level: Easy (4 books - minimum 1 AA)
Completed: 4/4 2018-Mar-05

Scarecrow #1
1. Gender: Female Male
Picnic at Hanging Rock by Joan Lindsay AA
Sabriel by Garth Nix | 2018-Mar-05
How it fits: female male author

2. Head/Face:
True Devotion (Uncommon Heroes #1) by Dee Henderson True Devotion by Dee Henderson | 2018-Feb-24
How it fits: Just the face is shown for the man on the cover

3. Arms/Legs:
Bitter River by Julia Keller
How to Train Your Dragon (How to Train Your Dragon, #1) by Cressida Cowell How to Train Your Dragon by Cressida Cowell | 2018-Feb-28
How it fits: Arms and legs are visible on the young man pictured on the cover.

4. Body:
The Sweetness at the Bottom of the Pie by Alan Bradley | 2018-Feb-27
How it fits: Has 300 pages or more (374)

Although I did finish other books in February, looks like I didn't finish any that I could use for this challenge until Feb-24 and after. Yikes!

Thanks for a fun challenge!
