It'been a while and I am quite sure that it must be one of the classic SciFi writers, like Bradbury or someone from his time.

I red it many, like 30, years back and book was not new.
I'll try to dig up what compilations might have been around at that time. Internet sure was not :)
Valts, I added "Read in the 1980s." to the topic header. Does that sound right or could it have been the early 1990s? Adding the approximate date will let others know they should skip recent books.
There is a short story by Bradbury or Asimov, or someone of their ilk in which the male MC is being tested with his peers for his job in life. ... NOT The Giver.

Hope someone has read this story and will be able to advise me on Author and/or title of the story.
So, it´s about some time in the future, where people have discovered how to load knowledge to their brain digitally. Yet, there is a family where parents insist that their kid learns things the hard/traditional way.
