Shas So I just finished the book at 4:57 a.m today and Im left with a lot of questions. I have been exited and then with a "WHAT THE HELL" sign above my head over and over again during the trilogy but mostly I liked and enjoyed the books. so, anyways, I expected a little more from it at the end. I liked the end but I don't now, I'm feeling like there's more to say. Was The Restablishment defeated? Was the humanity free after that war to come? Everybody dies? What about the other sectors and commanders, everyone surrendered or joined the remaining restablishment? What about the problem with the birds, the weather, and that long list of problems??
It was a good end but i need to know. I really need to know. I seriously need another book telling me all of this or even a short story, I don't care... I need to know. What you think guys?

Lexie I completely agree with you. I felt like it was leading up to this amazing resolution and in the end it fell flat to say the least. I felt like she could have written the ending in greater depth and myself, obviously being the reader, would have been much more satisfied. The conclusion leaves something of a "bad taste" in your mouth.

Shas Exactly!!! she had everything... EVERYTHING.... i was shewing my nails basically... and it fell flat. It could have been better.... there was a lot more to say... everything was amazing util she finds Anderson. Then it goes down.... It was okay... not like "OH MY GOD THIS IS STOPPING MY HEART! I'M DYING!"

I expected most.. I was finally seriosly loving the trilogy and the end left me with the same bad taste of Shatter Me's Last Chapters

Marie Flores As I said in my review in this book, it's like "the end is just the beginning". The ending of the book is just the beginning. That's what I felt. Honestly, like many of those who read the book. It's KINDA disappointing because I was expecting more. A more resolved ending. An ending that you would actually call ENDING. But then, I think Tahereh Mafi gave us the liberty to make up the ending. I'm feeling like HAZEL GRACE from TFIOS, I want to go to Tahereh Mafi and ask her what happen to Juliette and Warner. Did Alia and Adam end up together instead? and a lot of things. :D

I agree with you. I wanted a longer ending. An epilogue at least. You know, to see what happened after that conclusion.

Berny I agree. It ended way too fast. But maybe she's working on a sequel or a novela or something. At least i hope so....

Annie I thought it was open....I loved this series, but would like to see one more that ties up all the loose ends...and I want to see Juliette as a leader...I know she will do great!!!

Emily I am hoping for a spin off series!

verweven I think the whole 'taking over the power and fighting the Reestablishment' went way too fast.

Elizabeth I completely agree, I think that there could even be another book. I was really looking forward to seeing if the people agreed with her actions and if the other nations challenged her or joined her but, no. nothing. I don't regret reading it but I wish it had a more satisfying ending.

Kara C i agree... I am really hoping Tahereh Mafi decides to write a novella or something to wrap it all up better... please? I loved loved loved this series though. x

message 12: by Anne (new) - rated it 5 stars

Anne Dean I completely agree! Seriously need an epilogue or a Kenji spin off, perhaps?

Samantha I agree

Brenda Burchell Wise Agreed! Waaaay to open and I need to know more.
I can't be left that way, I want to know what becomes of them all next. Praying there will be a novella etc. Anne, that's a great idea for a Kenji spin off (he rocks).

Paulina Filarca Completely agree with you!!! I feel like the book was finished haphazardly, like as if she was on a deadline. There should at least be a 4th book or something

Rainbow I agree!!!!!!!!! it because she rushed writing it.

Svitlana I was freaking out when I finished reading it... my mind was telling me: calm down, it's not over, I mean... not like that, but OMG why there aren't more pages!!?!?!?!
and than I realized it... over... THE END, and then I started crying.

Evita This is going to sound confusing and possibly stupid, but oh well! I didn't really like the book but how it was written. Like I think I would like more books from this author but about a different topic. The author had perfect timing for climax and the falling actions... but I didn't like the topic. This book I would rate a five if I was into it. This sounds confusing now that I read this over but I hope you can relate!

Ann I didn't really like the ending either but that's usually how it is with dystopian novels. They give us unclear endings because when they first came up with the idea, they thought, "Hmm, how do I resolve this issue?" then, after being completely stumped, they're like, "I'll think of something later, when I'm writing the ending." And they never come up with an ending. At least, one that doesn't have you scanning the blank pages to see if there's more. It's kind of ridiculous, but you forgive the authors because you enjoyed it. If you didn't, I can't tell you what to do.

Agos Aguilera i definitely need another book. I mean more about Kenji, more about WarnerxJuliette, warner and james, more about this magic dons they have, more war, idk, i just need more. I really like this trilogy, and i need more.

lily I agree, I need a lot more answers. Not only with the whole world, but with Warner/Aaron and Juliette's relationship. Will they have a family? Will the world even be suitable for a family to live in? What about Adam and Warner brother? What about everyone's abilities? What about Adam?
I have a ton more questions, but these are just the tip of the iceberg. Anyone agree with my questions?

I agree, i mean i have that questions and a lot more. Like i was saying before: What about kenji, the magic dons, the war, adam, james, warner and juliette, warner and james, what about the world, what about juliette parents, its a lot of questions i dont have answers for. And fuck, i need the answers.

TAHEREH PLEASE GIVE THE ANSWERS, JUST WRITE THE FOURTH BOOK, PLEASE.

message 26: by lily (new) - rated it 5 stars

lily Yes, WRITE ANOTHER BOOK! :)

Monise Tua Yes, the ending was great but it still left me with questions. It seemed that the ending only answered the questions we had that related to her love triangle and what happens to Anderson. They should make another book or spin-off of some kind. Like, who was that guy who was producing sound waves with Anderson? What happens to the rest of the Reestablishment?

Draya I think there is definitely room for another book, there is still so much story to be told.

message 29: by lily (new) - rated it 5 stars

lily I agree!

Dilla Nanditya While I agree the end of Ignite Me was open I don't think that it was too open. I think that it was perfect. The main goal throughout the series was Juliette's growth and confidence. Taking down Anderson is just a little added goal. The Reestablishment was never there to be the main conflict; it was just there to give you a reason of the setting. The main focus had always been Juliette and Juliette alone. And, isn't an open ending a perfect start for a fanfiction anyway?
