I loved the build-up to The Games!

That's annoying. I lent my Catching Fire to my friend about 4 months ago...she still hasn't read it. I just don't understand how some people don't have the constant urge to read a book when its in the same room as them.

I'm Alisa, and I just found this group today while browsing around on goodreads, hoorah!
My best friend actually bought The Hunger Games for me one Christmas, telling me I must read it, and I eventually did... I don't know why I waited so long to read it- UHHMAZING!!!
Favorite part? Hmmm, any of the sarcastic interactions between Peeta and Katniss. I love that sarcasm ;)

I love those parts, I actually laughed when in Mockingjay, in the conversation between Peeta and Katniss when they've rescued him from the capitol and Peeta asked to see her

The Hunger Games was recommended to me by a friend. The minute she said it was set in the future I immediately began to dismiss it, futuristic things have never interested me. But then when she began to describe the games and their purpose I was totally gobsmacked by the concept and downloaded the trilogy immediately. I became gripped and couldn't put it down!

Hi everyone!
I just joined this group and wanted to introduce myself. I love to read and I’m also a published author. I read about 3 books a month. And I am a huge fan of this author and really enjoy reading her books.
Which books are your favorite by this author? And why?
Happy reading,
Sherry

I deny Finnick's death. *Runs to the corner and mutters to self* He's alive, he's not dead. He's okay, everything is okay!! Ò.ó

i heard about the hunger games through a-wait for it- CALENDAR, i was on amazon, and saw a hunger games calandar, the clanendar itself looked interesting, i soon googled the books and found otu they were pretty popular,
one day, i spotted the trilogy for cheap in the works, i bought them and they collected dust on my shelf, then my best friend asked me if i had read the hunger games, and made them sound amazing, i read them,at the beginging of this year or the endish of last year, now im obsessed

Lol :)

hey I'm Jawaria! My favorite part from the hunger games is when Haymitch says "You and a syringe against the Capitol? See this is why no one let's you make the plans." that part was soooo funny! I first read the book when...well..I...don't really remeber..I guess it just ended up in my hands one day..and I read it..and...it was....AMAZING!!..Then I read the books in the other series and ....umm.. well you get the picture.

hahahaha no, not at all I would do the same!!!

Hi. I'm Danielle and I'm new here. I'm not exactly sure how I found out about the Hunger Games but the moment I read it, I fell in love with it. My fave part in the book is when the tributes go to the arena and the Hunger Games begin :)
