My favorite part is the scene where Katniss sitting in the tree and other tributs talks about her.
Hello Laura, hello Leesdame, hello Hylian Princess.

My favorite part is probably the Games itself. So, yeah. :)

Hello, I'm Cheska. I'm on vacation so I grabbed the chance to read the whole Hunger Games trilogy. I never thought I'd finish it in two weeks, knowing that I am not really a bookworm. Well I guess I am now. Haha

Picked up THG thinking it was a bit over-rated (from all the crazy movie premire insanity). BOY WAS I WRONG! best book ever. completely and utterly obsessed. just finished the last book today. I read all of them in about 4 days haha so much for savoring!! sad its over. i cried at the last page because i wont ever be able to experience it again. but yes. i <3 THG!!

Two summers ago my cousin was reading The Hunger Games and told me about them. I thought they sounded interesting but a little dark, so I kind of looked past it.
Then, my librarian said she read them a few months ago but I still didn't read them.
Sadly, I was one of the people who read the book when I knew the movie was coming out. I feel stupid about them but these books are my favorite.
My favorite part in The Hunger Games was definitely when Katniss and Peeta were in the cave. I loved the 'romance' and everything. :) It was really cute.
Just thought I'd share. :)

I discovered the Hunger Games a few years ago, when my friend was reading the first book and declared it too gruesome and disturbing. Of course, me being the strange person I am, this appealed to me so I went to the library and borrowed the first book. I now am I a huge fan and have purchased the whole series, which are now in extremely poor condition because of the excessive rereads I have done.
:)

Nice to meet you all.

Hi, new here. I guess I liked the part where Peeta and Katniss gets interviewed. Heh. I'm a sucker for Romance and Comedy.

Yes, I did like the berry part...I don't know why though. But I guess it reminded my of Romeo and Juliet... but Romeo and Juliet is in the future...and they really know how to kill a person...and they're in this Supposed-To-Be-Very-Fun-Reality-Game-But-It's-A-Fight-To-the-Death-Thingy.
Since then, I haven't ate berries...

Needless to say, by the end of last week I'd finished all three books because they are awesome.
My favorite part of The Hunger Games had to be when Katniss tricked Peeta into eating the berries with the sleeping syrup. I haven't seen the movie, and I have no idea if this is in it, but I can just see Peeta's face when he realizes what it is and tries to fight it - a lot of love and passion on both ends there.

I don't remember how I found out about the books, but it was in high school (about 2-3 years ago), but as I went into college I got busy and barely managed to get to the books a couple of months ago.
There are a lot of parts I like, but one of my favorites is from Mockingjay, when Finnick is in his robe and Katniss tells him to cover up and he plays the provocative thing.

I first heard about these books when I was a senior. My school district does this thing called a book fair, where Scholastic brings in a whole bunch of books to be sold through the school to the community. I was looking around and saw them, however when I first read the synopsis of the first book I put it down immediately because it sounded grotesque and it wasn't really my genre of reading. However a couple of months ago I was wondering around Barnes and Noble on my Nook and saw the books again. I thought, "I'm not reading anything new at the moment so why not at least get a sample and see how I like the book?" So I did and well... here I am. :)
Favorite part... sheesh that's a hard one. I'd have to say my favorite part of ANY of the book is in Catching Fire. It is when Peeta gives Katniss the mockingjay locket that has a picture of her mother, Prim, and Gale, and he tells her that she needs to survive because she has people who love her and who are depending on her, and that she will have a future. Whereas if she dies he won't have a reason to continue living, pretty much. I loved that part because it solidified Peeta as the kind of character I feel the world needs to see: selfless, truly loving, and dedicated. There are a lot of scenes in the books that I love, but when it really comes down to it... this is my FAVORITE moment. :)

Suzanne that was such a good part! When I first read it I was trying to cover my eyes from the utter betrayal of it, but soon found while reading that isn't the best thing! LOL! The thing I love about that scene is even though Katniss is the narrator, you completely get the feelings that Peeta is having.

I'm Vikki from Northern Ireland. I'm a lawyer and self-confessed bookworm for as long as I can remember!
I have to admit I'd been trying to avoid they hype about The Hunger Games for ages. One of my friends talked me into going to see the movie with her, although I went more to catch up with my friend than having any real interest in seeing the film. But I was hooked - went out and bought the first book on my way home from the cinema. Just finished Catching Fire and ready to start Mockingjay.
Hard to pick a fave part at the moment...

This is so true! Suzanne Collins was so great on her descriptions that you are able to pick up everyone's emotions even though you aren't told outright what they are thinking.

Someone in my class did their book project on Mockingjay a few years ago and it sounded inetersting so i decided to read it. I procrastinated on reading the series though and just recently read all three books.
I really love all of them but I really love the berries part :)

I first read these books about two years ago and then spent agonizing months waiting for Mockingjay (a real disappointment in my book) but anyway...I love these books, and my favorite part is either the cave scene where Katniss drugs Peeta, or when Peeta is like "She has no idea. The effect she can have." I'm still disappointed that they didn't have her giving him the sleep syrup in the movie. It was such an emotionally charge scene in the book.... :...( Also, just so all of you know that I'm not just some average person walking down the street, for the last month (and for the next month as well) I have been (will be) dressing like characters from the hunger games. My grade and I made a script of the 74th hunger games, and we cast everyone in our class as either a tribute, an announcer, a stylist, family member, or friend. My friend was cast as Cato, and he has been dressing like him sporadically. It's great to see the look on his face when I'm Effie, and I jump up to give him a hug around the neck and scream "Cato!" in a squeaky, high-pitched, voice. :)
