I'm Tammy, I just joined like a secound ago. I found out about The Hunger Games from my friend, and now its like one of my favorite books in the world!! My most favorite part it when Peeta confesses he loves Katniss during the interview...so sweet!!
i freaked out but and even though i like gla eu can't help but think how funny the whole thing was, espically in the arena
i knw! wanna know wht would be REALLY weird, if katniss actually got pregnant w/.... hoo shud it be..... GALE!
Hi, I'm Tracy and I am new to the Hunter Games Group. My children were on spring break this week and I came down to Fl. to visit my brother. I brought a couple of books because I won't go anywhere without one. My sister-in-law told me that I had to read Hunger Games, so I did. I read this book in 2 days and read Catching Fire in 2 days. I have not started on Mockingjay and I won't be reading that while I am here because I can't put them down. I will have to read that one when I get home.Anyway, I was totally sold on these books! I haven't read anything this exciting in a while. Although, I was getting very angry in Catching Fire. I can't wait to start on Mockingjay and from what I hear that is just as exciting as the other two.
I have only read the quotes and this intro thread. I will not read anymore until I read Mockingjay and thanks for the advise.
Hello..im Caitlin.!My mom read a review for hunger games somewhere and bought the book and brought it home one day after work and gave it to me...and the rest is history..
i have to many favorite parts to list really...hehe
I am a 7th grade LAL teacher who loves reading young adult novels, especially sci fi, mystery, & horror.
Hi! I'm Tiffani and I seen Hunger Games in the stores and wasn't interested in it until I borrowed it from one of my friends' sister. The title makes it sound like a weird book but I will have to admit that it is one of the best books that I have read (and I read every chance I can get). I am in the process of reading Mocking Jay, so I don't have a favorite scene yet (have to look at all of my options).
When I'm in class, I don't pay attention to my teachers. I hide behind the person in front of me, reading. One of my friends already spoiled the end for me but I'm still going to finish :)
Hi, I'm Maria and I've forgoten to introduce myself, but here we go.I hear about the Hunger Games from various people on blogs/vlogs and from my sister who started reading them. And I love them from the very begingig.
My favourite part of the books is the repeating and the opening sermonie in the first book.
My favourite characters are cinna, prim and haymich. I also like Katniss and peeta a lot, as a couple and as people.
Cinna and Haymich are some of my favorite characters too! I'm still waiting for my friend to bring Mocking Jay back to school so I can read it.
I lost HG and CF...I lent one to this random girl and the other went missing after a long car drive.
:(
:(
I dont have catching fire or mocking jay. I'm borrowing them from one of my friends. She wont let me buy them since she already has them. She lives like an hour away from me and we live on campus. She forgot to grab it when she was on her way back to school.I lent out a few of my books to my friends and never got them back. I learned my lesson on never lending them out if you want them back. LOL.
Lol :) I just lent The Hunger Games to my best friend. She thinks its boring but she's only in the beginning. I keep telling her it will get better. She's not the reading type of person so if she's reading any book I'm glad its THG :)
But I have this weird feeling when someone else reads THG. It's kinda my thing and I
m pretty selfish soooo..... I usually try to discourage others from reading it. Especially to my friends who liked Twilight and House of Night and Evermore. Disgusting.

Yeah I know what you mean :) But my friends know that I'm really obsessed with it so they know it's my thing. And she isn't crazy about books, I actually told her to read it.
I remember reading Catching Fire. a guy in my class was reading it, and I commented that I needed to read it. This was on thursday. Then on monday I was reading mockingjay and he was like "WHAT THE HECK I THOUGHT YOU WERE READING CATCHING FIRE!" and I said, "I finished it." He was still reading Catching Fire. But this was no surprise to me seeing as I read the 1st book in one day. I was on the plane. But yes, go ahead, I'm a fast reader.
If a book is AMAZING then I'll read it really quick. But usually it would take me 2 days :) I'm not a very fast reader even if the book is epicly awesome.
Sophie, I know what you mean. I read THG and CF when CF was just published, maybe it was a month old and I read them both in like 2 hours. I usually only finish the books I like, because I can get absorbed into them. Some people read so slow. No offense, but you'll probably take offense. So, I'll just get a pointy metal stick to tranquilize you if you attack me.
Wait, are you saying I read slow? o_O Lol whatever. I don't care. I am a pretty slow reader, sometimes it takes me a month to read a book.
Yeah, not really digging the book I'm reading right now. But it's for a class, so I have to. Ugh. Can't get absorbed. Curse you S.E. Hinton.
The Outsiders. Meant to read it a while ago, but now being forced to read it. I don't have the drive or determination to...
Well, I want to read it, just can't find the time or get into the groove. I don't read a book for a long period of time unless I'm forced to or I reread it. I dunno. I'll find that groove when I finish this homework.
I think the House of Night, and Evermore and pretty good. They do, however, seem to have the drama go on when in THG it's straight away and plays out through the whole thing. I can find any groove to read. Usually, I read a book before I even do my homework. I read any chance I get and I pretty much ignore everything else around me.
Hi Diana! I cant wait to read the hunger games over again, but I have so many other books that I have to read first. I dont think I could every get tired of these books.
Hola! It's Rose, nice to meet you all. (: I actually had to read Hunger Games for English last year. Thinking it was some cannibalistic game of eating people, I wasn't exactly thrilled. But I loved it. My favorite parts are any involving Peeta. Ohhhh yeah. (;
Hi everyone! I just joined about 5 minutes ago. My name is Melissa(in case you couldn't tell by my user name), and I found out about The Hunger Games from my aunt she loved them then my dad loved them then my sister then it was my turn!! I was so very pleased with this series and very very very upset when I finished the last book I wanted more!!! I'm glad I could join this group!
Hey! Yeah, I'm actually finally reading the third book. I just started it and seriously cant wait to finish it. I'm the only one in my family that has read the hunger games and I'm seriously going to make them read them too.
Still have to read it. I think my best friend got it for my b-day... which is soon. Not sure though... Anyways I'm also the only one in my family who read The Hunger Games. No one in my family reads except for my older sis.
Thanks I was so happy to find this group I love these books!! There great! and thank you to ANIKA and BARBARA OR ENDLESSLYSPARKLY and TAFFANI for all saying hi to me and making me feel welcome!!
And doing homework... Apparently my whole math class bombed our latest test. I'm getting prepared for a lecture.
ugh I remember then I graduated in 2009 so no more tests(or lectures) for me until I start college. lol
I'm Jemimah! :) But you guys could call me 'Jem'. :)I've been seeing the trilogy in the bookshelves of the bookstores from where I am. But I've never really paid attention to them.
My cousins started reading them until such time that I was the only one who isn't reading the books yet. But then, after reading I Am Number Four, I read the THG Trilogy and it was sooooo goooood! :)
