UBB plugin started returning a 403 error

i've been using the Ultimate Book Blogger plugin for about a year. About a month ago it started returning a 403 error.

The people at UBB have no idea and my GoDaddy contact hasn't been much help other than to say it's an issue on the Goodreads side.

My site has not yet switched to https (I know, i know) - could this be the source of the issue?

aiui, that's exactly the problem. Calibre plugins for GoodReads started failing in December, too.
