25 books is most certainly a great starting point, Izzy :) I'm curious to know what you thought of Of Mice and Men ? I know Steinbeck isn't for everyone. I haven't read it since high school (or earlier) and can't decide whether I want to re-read it at some point or not.

Lisa- this is actually my second Steinbeck book! I started out with East of Eden, which holds a place as one of my all time favorites. I would highly recommend giving Of Mice and Men a reread, and if you enjoy that book, East of Eden will blow you away.
