(view spoiler)[Omg, what a start! Rowan is gleaning the evil scythes and I’m so here for it, and I love that the Thunderhead is looking the other way eheheh. I definitely should’ve read this immediately after the first book though, I’m kind of out of the vibe now?

I also like that we’re seeing some Thunderhead thoughts too, instead of the scythe entries! I feel kind of bad for it and how lonely it seems :( I still love Citra, although I’m not sure how I feel about her idea of giving people a month to prepare. I’m not sure whether that’s worse or better. The gleaning in the casino was cool though.

Yay they met again! I’m shipping them so hard damn, they kissed in the last book & told each other their I love yous, and now we’re back to friends? Nooo😭 I still adore Marie/scythe Curie too btw. Also, if scythes never glean in Pittsburg, why not go and live there as a non-scythe?🤣 I still don’t know what to think about Tyger, I feel like he’ll be a problem for sure. Idk, I think there’s more to him than we think. Can’t believe they gleaned Rowan’s dad though :( and what is that woman going to do with Tyger? I feel like she’ll make him kill Rowan or something I’m scared. (hide spoiler)]

(view spoiler)[I love that we get some insight into the AI too, so cool that Greyson is a nimbus agent and the thunderhead clearly uses him to intervene in things that it can’t - like warning Curie and Citra!!

Greyson jumped in front of the car to save them omg!!! But who is trying to kill them? Already LOVING this again! Poor Greyson got expelled & the Thunderhead deemed him unsavory, dammit, why?? He was friends with the Thunderhead so why would it ruin that :( aw and he can’t even speak to him anymore poor guy 😭

I kind of feel like Constantine isn’t evil, or so I hope :/ Nearly all other scythes seem to be evil so far lol. Glad Citra saved Greyson, although I hope he isn’t her love interest now… I kind of hate that he now has to turn Unsavory for real dammit, but it makes sense that Traxler is now his officer, he’s definitely close to the Thunderhead then! So cool. I also love that there’s no need for the delays in the meetings with their officer and such, but the Thunderhead just creates those annoyances so unsavories can bond, I cannot🤣🤣🤣🤣

Tyger is definitely going to have to kill another scythe and take their ring, Texas scares me 🤣 Rowan at least knows Citra is in danger and is going to help ehehe. (hide spoiler)]

I love that we got the scene between Citra, Curie and Constantine (omg the alliteration???) from the thunderheads perspective, and his foreshadowing about knowing who placed the bomb but not who was behind it and knowing whether Constantine was thruthfull about wanting her alive added so much to it! It seems like he doesn’t want her alive tho, I hoped he was good :( He better not be the one behind it.

The AWFul club omg the unsavories are so insane 🤣 Greyson is getting into his role a bit too much 😭 And wtf was that Purity chick? Come on dude get it together, I don’t want him to turn evil :( (hide spoiler)]

(view spoiler)[Omg Purity wants him to kill some scythes? I’m guessing she’s connected to the plot on killing Curie and Citra. Kill that chick already, he likes her way too much ugh. Kinda starting to hate his POVs :( I just want our old crew :( Traxler was gleaned??? Omg what?

Holy shit he should’ve killed Brahms!!! He killed his dad and now has Rowan, I’m scared. Can we just go back to their POVs now?😭 the tonist scene was really random, and makes me wonder whether that random dude will play an important role?

Can’t believe Rand is alive whut? I’m also so sick of Tyger, ready for him to die as well. It’s getting a bit slow for my liking, it’s not really clear where it’s going…? Not sure whether I’m loving it anymore :(

The attempt was intense omg!!! Greyson saved them, Purity died (can’t say I care at all), but I still don’t trust Constantine. I hope his eyes will grow back though? I’m guessing Rand is behind it all tho. Ah she’s sending Greyson to the tonist, so that’s his role. It was so random.

Omg Grandslayer Hemingway (wasn’t he the one who Constantine knew?) is going to selfglean, and Xenocrates will take his place! I hope Curie will become high blade, but maybe Faraday will come back and will be it instead?

OMG NO GODDARD IS HERE!! I knew it would happen but still omg. His promise to find Rowan within a week I’m screaming, he already has him!!!! What a dick omg die ALREADY!!!! She tricked Goddard omg go Citra!! Still going to call her that although she feels like Anastasia now lol. Holy shit so much is happening.

Rowan keeps winning from Goddard & he keeps killing him, but at least he spoke with the Thunderhead too now! Poor Rand, she was definitely in love with Tyger :( Still feel sort of sad about that. And omg I feel so freaking bad for Greyson too. The Thunderhead actually shut all the lights for him but he didn’t see 😭😭😭😭 they’re like a yearning love couple it’s so sad omg. Why am I shipping them tho lmao. And Faraday finally told Anastasia and Marie yay, I don’t like his assistent at all though. She seems like such a brat. I kind of respect Goddard for refusing Ayn/Rand, she clearly just wanted Tyger instead of him. Well she shouldn’t have killed him then, that's your own fault honey. And now she’ll help Rowan get free? Well, that was surprising. Damn they finally found Nod!! But the thunderhead knows, I’m weirdly scared? Will it turn evil? (hide spoiler)]

I’m so happy for Greyson omg but what will happen next???? I’m literally reeling and trying not to google everyone’s fate lmao, I’m so scared for our crew and I’m so fucking sad about Curie. Maybe the sealife is filled up and won’t eat her too? Man I’m heartbroken. And what will Nod be about?? It must be important somehow. I still think that was a really random addition though. I think the author is more concerned with creating an expansive world then getting insight on just the main characters. I'm usually the kind of reader who enjoys character-driven stories so this was an adjustment for me but Neal Shusterman managed to stick the landing anyway. (hide spoiler)]

Like yes, they're romantically in love, but it goes beyond that somehow. They barely even get to see each other anymore but they both are living only for the knowledge that the other might be alive somewhere out there and they'll get to see each other again. Their relationship is just one of those epic earth-moving ones that makes my heart tear apart. (hide spoiler)]
