David Rose I know I'm a new member, and this is going to be a little bit cheeky, but
5,000 ratings = unknown??? Really?

I see from old posts that it used to be 3,000 ratings and was increased. But I wonder, now that the group is growing so fast and has so many more members, if it shouldn't be reduced to as low as 1,000 ratings?

Maybe talk about it?

Kristin B. Bodreau (krissy22247) Hi David! I am always up for a good discussion, so I don't mind your comments at all.

When we were a very small group I upped it because the members were having some trouble coming up with books they wanted to nominate at that low number. I was also briefly part of another group of a similar style that used a number in the thousands, and when compared to the books out there that have a million ratings, five thousand is still quite low.

However, now that the group is growing I might consider lowering it again if it seems like something folks would like. I would love to hear thoughts from other members.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts, David!
