Both heroines in this series are petrified/traumatized beyond comprehension.
First book in the series (view spoiler)[ Hero forces the father of the heroine to watch him perform sexual acts on his daughter vice versa while the father of the heroine is being tortured (burned). Hero kills/tortures heroine's family and friends by the end of the book, makes heroine eat best friends remains in a soup. Hero forces heroine to have a c-section without any medication. Second book in the series (view spoiler)[ Hero rapes the heroine taking her virginity in front of a waiter forcing the waiter to watch. Hero then kills the waiter after forcing him to watch because he looked the heroine in her eyes and smiled at the heroine while taking her order. Hero gouged the waiters eyes out and sliced an ear to ear smile on the waiter's face. Heroine was so traumatize she ended up having a heart attack because of the hero. Hero beats heroine with a sledge hammer. (hide spoiler)]
